NO!!!  I hope it isn't true   Sad

I was on another forum I am a member of and someone got to see a sneak peek of the movie and they reported that one of the main characters dies.....I hope it's a rumor and not true   :'(

My only hope is Joss Wheden mentioned in certain interviews that nobody dies because they want to make more movies if this one succeeds  Praying

I hate it when they kill people off on shows I like, Stargate is a prime example of stupidity like this   Hopping Mad

PLEASE JOSS WHEDON...SAY IT AIN"T SO!!!!! :'( :'( :'(

I always liked forewarned is forearmed   Wink

I need spoilers so I don't get all emotional and embarrass myself in front of a bunch of people in the theatre  Embarrassed

I am so  Hopping Mad at my theater, they still didn't get Serenity in. This is the one disadvantage to living in a small town  Sad

What did the people here think of the movie when you saw it at the theater? Is it better on the big screen, or do you think that it won't matter if a person saw it for the first time on DVD? I am asking because some movies are better seen on the big screen first (example: "The Two Towers" scene with Legolas and the big elephant looking creature was much better on a theater screen then on the DVD IMO)  Embarrassed Undecided

I have the paperback book that I promised myself I wouldn't read until I gave my theater enough time to get the movie in, but I just wanted to hear people's thoughts in case I never get the chance to see it on the big screen.

Theater,  no doubt about it.

I thought the movie was spectacular.  Hopefully your theater will get it in.  I know I was surprised when our small-town theater had it the first week of release.

I hope my theater gets it to, but I guess only time will tell  Sad They didn't get "Corpse Bride" in yet either and that's one I thought for sure they wouldn't pass up on for it's first week of release, and if they pass up on that movie "Serenity" doesn't stand a chance.  Hopping Mad I can see the paperback novelization looming ever closer  Roll Eyes

Hopefully sometime in the next two weeks they will get it in  Praying

I'm really disappointed that this didn't do better at the box office...it was really a spectacular film in every respect :'(

I saw the film on Saturday at my local cinema (Bristol UK) and it was pretty full, but I would not expect it to do great things at the box office as its to much of a "cult" thing. Most films these days make more money on the DVD release than at the cinema box office.

It was a top quality film and a brilliant translation from the small screen. My mate, who had not watched Firefly, also thought it was great and was able to work out what was happening despite his "dis-advantage".

Still not seen it  :'(.  Graham was barking like a goodun but hopefully this weekend........  But I was bad and looked at the cards so have a pretty good idea what the film is about.  I do hope the takings pick up so they make at least another couple.
