We can hope that all of the complaints and the petition will encourage Artbox to do what it can to prevent dud boxes.

The problem with hot boxes is that you can usually tell just by looking at them. They looked overly stuffed. It's possible to get one in a case, but for people who buy boxes, the dealer will see the hot box in the cases he or she is opening and keep it.

Well maybe someone will just ship it. I want a Hotbox or maybe a Half Hotbox with half of the cards in it because I want a lot of cards in this set.

I doubt someone would be willing to ship something like that... and the people that are most likely to get a hot box will be those that order large amounts of the product and have experience enough to know what they are looking for. We can always hope though... or buy sealed cases

the only way i would ever be able to afford a case is to share the cost with someone else .
Kids are far to expensive.
Hey Aussie members if you haven't pre order your next harry potter book go to dymocks because if you pay for it upfront it is only $29.95 you can order it on line too

You don't have to pay a deposit for pre-orders, right? So you can just cancel if you change your mind. I pre-ordered OotP last time, but went and bought it at the first store I went past on the 21st - they had plenty of unallocated books. I doubt that HBP will sell out - I am sure that most stores have taken the crazy fans into account when ordering stock

Really? When I pre-ordered OoTP at A&R, the shop told me that they would give me a call when I could pick up my copy, I didn't have to pay a deposit at all. I wonder if that will be the case this time... I haven't pre-ordered in any case as I have taken it for granted that there will be enough books to go around

Oh and the call me ten days and the day before its released.
I got OotP at Wal-Mart for 16.99

Or keep a pretty copy for decoration and a reading copy that will get more dog eared and tattered as time goes on

:'( As for the duds, lets hope the numbered boxes are a good sign that if there is one it will get sorted
