Oh heck! Embarrassed
I wonder if he's holding out for more money to reprise his role? Undecided
Hagrid just won't be Hagrid if Robbie doesn't do it! Wink

I know actors can pick and choose their roles but this smacks of the Dr Who's to me.

I once read an article about a very famous actor (can't remember his name Embarrassed) who when asked why he had taken a part in a not so good film said it had put his son through college!

I am getting a bit fed up with actors who take roles in obviously huge films then pull out (or threaten to pull out) once they have feathered their nest.  They should have some responsiblity to the film companies and fans. Angry

I know this sounds grumpy but I do get cross with this sort of thing (as you may have guessed  Cheesy)

Yeah, in the acting world I would think it is madness to turn down a job you know you can have for a fixed time, like Dr Who Roll Eyes

Without going too far off topic it is like these soap actors who leave to 'do other projects'.  They are in a few dodgy ITV dramas then go into panto.

Even more annoying is that I reckon he will do all the films.  This is probably just a ploy to get more money so why drag the fans into it.  I know it is so we are all so outraged we start petition etc (like with Michael Shanks) but one day they will come unstuck.

I dont think this will be a problem with the trio because they dont want the money, Emma and Daniel said that they really enjoy playing these roles

I wouldn't worry to much yet about Robbie Coltrane not signing up for OOTP, their is still plenty of time for the Producers to help him change his mind  Wink

I am more worried about the kids not signing up for the fifth movie, but you are right Hagrid wouldn't be Hagrid without Coltrane portraying him  Smiley

Don't worry - they will find someone else good.

And well done on keeping this hidden.... McG will never spot it here right in the middle of the Leaky Cauldron (unless we hide it behind our glasses of butterbeer).

I too am more worried about the kids not playing the roless due to getting older.  I think Robbie will still be in it...at least, I hope.

WWWWWWWAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH

truely i don't think that robbie coltrane would pull out because as we all know he only took this role for his daughter and i don't think he would disappoint her.

And i think he would have far to many fans that would be disappointed because the role would not be the same with out him.

Robbie Coltrane will be returning to the Scottish theatre this month appearing in the play "The Brother's Suit", which runs April 11th through the 16th

this I would love to see . Or better yet get to the backstage and get an auto

aaaaaahhhhhhh heaven
