This does look like fun but one bit confused me. In the bit down the side it says 'Best suited for fans that live in the United Kingdom or are visiting there on August 1, 2005 ' How else could you go unless you are in the country on that date? Apparate

That sure is expensive for a 12-hour train ride! For that much money I'd expect to get more than that!

Nice, but I would not pay that much for it... maybe if they put JK Rowling on it as a special guest, I might reconsider Amazing the ways that people manage to milk money from the HP phenomenon!

I dunno Oxford to Carlisle I don't think it would be cheap and steam is expensive. On normal bog standard train it would cost £70.60 the cheapest return and thats not The HE.

Whooops! I read the ad as pounds not dollars. Yes not sure why they did this. Maybe they figure only rich Americans can afford it

Yes I hadn't realised it was an American thing. Just sort of assumed as it is in this country it was a British firm. Bit weird that though. All the Brits get adverts to go to America for high tech theme parks and the Americans advertise steam train trips in England . Funny old world

I reckon its the case of 'the grass is always greener on the other side'. We all always end up wanting what we don't have

Sounds fun but I am not sure - it might be populated with a whole load of kids and therefore we'd feel foolish! Unless we were all feeling rich enough to take a little carriage thing together (around 6 ppl) but I don't think I feel rich enough! Not with SS around the corner

Not to mention that their superior knowledge of all things Potteresque would be really annoying I beg to differ... I would beat those scrawny little buggers in any Potter knowledge they care to throw at me. If the unimaginable happens, I can always sit on them
