I have just got a Marauders Map card as an Easter present and I am just so happy Grin

It has the following words on it (as near as I can make out)

'societ et probus'

Being totally stupid about such things the nearest I can come is something to do with a society for elephants Cheesy.  Not very likely you would agree.

Appologies if this has already been a topic.  I did do a search on latin and couldn't find anything ( but that search is dead clever, it even pulled words like congratulating) Smiley

Thank you

That is very cool.  Can't actually think why it would be on the Marauders Map but still very cool.

By the way, really impressed with your language skills  Smiley

Don't be modest.  I didn't get futher than the elephants ha ha

I might pick your brains even further if I can borrow a scanner.  I also got a Zonko's Bag and it is a bit of the writing.  Can't quite make out what letter it is though.  I think they have done what KBmum said and put it in skew wiffy.

Tell what, if you can tell me what letter it is from this description I will be REALLY impressed (not to mention a little frightened Grin Grin Grin)
