ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh on all my long journey's like Bilbo I often think of my cosy home and kettle whistling when it's boiled*

*although it doesn't whistle as it's electric, it clicks... but that's not how the book goes Wink

True but will Ian Holm be too old to play Bilbo?

Remember the ring isn't supposed to have let him age so he should look like he did in FOTR  Lips Sealed

They can always use Ian Holm as Bilbo and tell the story through him.  That way he can be in the movie as the elder Bilbo but they would have to use someone else when they switch to the younger Biblo as the story develops.  At least that is the way I can see him being in the movie sitting in Bag End relating his adventures to say Frodo!   Smiley

3 - 4 years is a long time to wait but if Peter makes the film it will be worth the wait!   Smiley

I'd rather wait and get a PJ masterpiece than a rushed and most likely botched up version by someone else. After almost 10 years dealing with Middle Earth, I can't think of anyone else who could do it, really.

Who knows, PJ could always change his mind!
