Does everyone think these boxes are going to become expensive shortly after release?
Do you think they will produce even higher quantities than before?
Has anyone preordered boxes or cases yet? How much? And from where? I have seen them prices at about $210-$240 per case.
What is the best presale price you have seen.

Correction... Roz bought one box... (don't TEMPT me Frodo!).. Ben goes "go on get another" and decides to buy me one for my birthday - what a jolly nice fellow! {Mark goes.... you'll get a Sam costume... I'd rather buy singles on ebay } I am worried that goofyjas' boxes are not what they are supposed to be Ben they don't do a retail version for update sets.. so they must be ok mustn't they I didn't suggest to anyone else to get them on account of my worries.. Goofyjas is a nice chap tho and he won't see us wronged... or we'll have to get on a plane Ben and go to the Windy City lol

HaHaHa!! Perhaps a bit of film cell showing a close-up of said loin cloth would be more apt! I saw everyone teasing you about pulling a Sam costume card, but what if it's his Mordor Orc get-up? Could be a rare one for a change! *sighs* guess I'll have to wait and see like the rest of us

Hey Roz & Jules: I agree with you both about the Gollum Costume card! You would also need a gas mask when viewing it or using a cloths pin on your nose!

The Costume cards will be cool I think. I am however deeply disappointed with whoever in Topps Management makes the decisions for the Autograph cards. First there was the fiasco with the second Gandalf card - the one for The Two Towers which was not released due to Sir Ian not wanting the Sir on the card after they were printed up. So it looks like if you did not get "The Fellowship" one you will be out of luck. If anyone's card should be valuable it should be Sir Ian's due to his movie making stature and not a newcomer like Merry whose claim to fame is that only 500 cards were signed!! Now with the last set coming out there was no imagination on Topps part nor fan input and what do we get for Autographed cards - Mark Odesky who was a Producer! They are including a Peter Jackson card which is fine and another non descript Orc signed card. Just think of what they could have put out - Howard Shore, Sauron, Treebeard, or how about a multi-autographed card with the likes of the 4 Hobbits. How about a Boromir, Faramir & Denethor card? How cool would an Aragorn/Legolas combo be? The possibilities are endless but it seems we got stuck with unimaginative thinking on the part of a company whose main claim to fame is sports cards. Maybe that says it all there, maybe they are not even LOTR's fans - heaven forbid!! Topps does make a quality card. I also think that out of all the images available in the 3 movies there are so many that could have been used instead of what was. I do not think many of the images are that great. I love the LOTR's and have every Topps card printed including Promos. I have all of the Costume cards except one and all but 4 of the Autograph cards so I have had a ken interest from the start. I just think the whole 3 sets could have been so much better.

In truth the TT Update set surprised us with the autographs - and each auto was amazing quality - Gollum, Boromir and Aragorn. Since I am a fan of Clothing Cards my fav set so far is the TTU set.
I don't think the ROTK U set will be half as good - since the TTU set is a hard one to follow, but Mark Ordesky is not a great signer - and whilst PJ is a god in Director circles, I will admit to preferring a Wormtongue or Treebeard auto!
I love the FOTR set, I think it was a great start, they just needed to keep the imagination juices going.
