Look at the price guide - all the cards listed in each set are what you need to have a master set

So a master set is all costumes cards or a set and costume cards or just a set...I'm going with a set.

Yep, by my reckoning you need all promos, all autos, all costumes, all props a binder, the base set, the foils the box toppers and as a result of this... also an empty bank account. Just ask any of our master set owners Wink

I've not got any HP master sets yet - not far off the Update set but Mark and I do own and share a master set of Trilogy (a LOTR set, you can see pics in the price guide) and a master set of the Two Towers Update cards (another LOTR set).

But LOTR sets are a tad cheaper to put together...

And much, much simpler... just autos and costumes Smiley

I have to say that I prefer the look of the LOTR auto cards to the HP set... uh oh, I may have started a fight here! Wink

He hee - I don't think so

The Topps cards are beautifully designed and I say that for all sets. In fact I think I prefer the design of ALL the LOTR sets to the Potter design.. but the FOTR still wins hands down of ANY signature set I have seen.

You could always try to complete a mini-master.  For example, if you get all the props from the update, you would have a mini-master of the props.

For sure - the FOTR set had the best autograph ine up of ny signature set I have seen to date - every single actor that signed was a major player and their cards are still in alot of demand... 4 years later Smiley Apart from maybe the big 3 and a couple of others, I can't say I can say the same for the Potter series so far

I wouldl like three cards from your for my self. I'm not asking for your I just and map, paper, poster, and unfogging book card for my collection.

Mike - It sounds like you like the props made from paper better than the ones made from fabric. Smiley

Those were all pack pulled?  Wow!  How many packs did you open?  I opened 1200 packs and didn't even get a Wanted Poster or a Fizzing Whizzbees card let alone the cool variations you got.  And the one Marauders Map I got was a totally blank swatch.

Mark

I shouldn't have even bought any cases of POA Update nor should I buy any more cases of anything in the future as I used up my supply of luck for the next 10 years on the cases of Star Wars Heritage that I opened.

Sorry Mark, I was trying to be specific to Mike so that he would know which cards came from packs as opposed to the incentive prop cards.

I only pulled 4 of the 9 cards shown, the Wanted Poster, the Marauders Map, the Daily Prophet and the Red Divination Class.  Grin  The others I had to get from ebay.  Roll Eyes

Oh, I understand now.  I just thought you were incredibly lucky and I was getting jealous.  Those are some great cards though.  I'll stop whining now.   Cheesy
