Roz brings up an excellent point as when I went to see the LOTR's Concert in Hartford, Connecticut last fall Howard was a no show and I was not a happy camper after driving a total of 8 hours to and from the Concert.  

I don't know how you could check to see if he is there as you must purchase your tickets well in advance of the performance as the show sells out very quickly once it is announced.  There are no refunds to my knowledge.
