Aussie Paypal Account

I'd like to put some money in my paypal account, instead of always using my credit card. However, when I go to add funds, it says I can add from a US bank account...does anyone know how I can put money in from an Aussie bank account?

It seems strange that I can withdraw money to an Aussie account, but not the other way around

I have a german paypal account and i can put money in from my german bank account.

Do Paypal have a Aussie Paypal Page? Because if, then you can definately use your Aussie Bank account.

If you use the US Page i guess you must have a credit card to open the account but then you can put money in from your Aussie bank.

The Aussie page was opened up recently, and Ive just had another look, the only option it gives me is "Transfer Funds From a Bank Account in the United States"...maybe I should email paypal...

I can not believe that you only can put money in from a US bank account.

I thought
US Paypal - US Bank (Credit Card worldwide)
German Paypal - German Bank (Credit Card worldwide)
Aussie Paypal - Aussie Bank (Credit Card worldwide)
.......

Perhaps the Aussie page is too new?

maybe Im looking in the wrong spot? Ive sent them an email so it will be interesting to see if I get a reply....

The official paypal response:
"At this time, PayPal does not have the capabilities to add funds to your PayPal Account from your local bank account. You can only withdraw funds from your PayPal Account to your local Bank Account.  We will continue to expand our bank transfer capabilities in the future, but due to the complexities of global finance we cannot give a timetable for this possible expansion."
