Huh I am experiencing a strange problem. All of a sudden I cannot acsess 'secure' web pages such as 'my ebay' or the page needed to place a bid. The error message is 'This page cannot be displayed...there may be a problem with the web site etc... It is also a problem with other web sites such as HSBC I cannot access my account details.

I have deleted all 'cookies' and temp internet files and 'history' but to no avail. Any thoughts on whta the problem might be?

Thanks

I sometimes have this problem when I'm using my computer at work.  At work the computer is hooked up to a DSL line.  When I get the error message, I usually use the back arrow and re-try it accessing again and then it usually goes through.

I find I don't have this problem at home probably because we use a regular phone line (slower).

I don't know if this will help you or not, but it's worth a try.

Hmm have you made any recent adjustments on your computer - like to the firewall??

I think Roz is right about the firewall being the problem.

I'm experiencing problems accessing ebay pages again, and using the back arrow isn't working this time.
