That is scary looking!  Could you imagine not knowing that your significant other bought it, then coming home to find in the den?

It looks really good too!

That piece is awsome.  I just love these people who go out and buy something like this and then either get tired of it and try to sell it or they always had a mind to sell the item for profit in the first place!  I would rather have seen someone get it who is a collector than a speculator!  Just look at the shipping cost alone - $600 in the United States.  I do not even want to consider what it would cost to ship overseas!

Suuuuuuuuuuurely someone local will buy it! It might as well say "local pickup only" - seriously it can't cost $600 in petrol to drive the length of the US can it??

Actually, shipping is very expensive.  When I moved from one apartment to another (a 15-mile trip), it cost me close to $400.  You have to pay for the gas, the wear and tear on the truck, insurance, the movers who load and unload the truck, and the driver.

Don't forget that a 6 1/2-foot statue that weighs 200 pounds has to be properly packed so it isn't damaged during shipment.  The box and packing materials alone could run well over $100.

Personally, I'd just drive up to their place and stick it on the roof rack... if it can survive Aragorn, it can survive the streets of the US Wink

LOL

It's all academic anyway as the seller has ended the auction early saying its no longer available!
Why bother listing it in the first place? Roll Eyes

Cool item though! Grin

He probably got an off-eBay offer and figured he'd do better that way than paying eBay fees on the sale.
