Well I got 36 pounds back from Paypal today. The remaining 15 I get back if Ebay/Paypal manages to get the money from the seller... Better than nothing, I suppose, - but I still would have preferred my card

I am just glad I got some of it back... it shows that you can't even trust people with significant amounts of good feedback anymore - how sad

I am now waiting on two cards I won from ztaylork. I know he sent them since he is a great guy and forum member and I see people have started to leave feedback from the cards won that day, but it has been a week since he sent them and I still don't have them. I am noticing a pattern, as it seems mail takes forever to get to me. Hmmmm, I have faith they are going to be in the mail today though. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Well - its come to an end, I got the email from Paypal yesterday and they are closing my case. In summary: I paid 51 pounds for my FOTR Boromir and got 36 back after filing my claim. Paypal attempted to get the rest, but as the seller no longer has a Paypal account, there was not really much that they could do. Its not a huge amount of money, and it could have been a lot worse! Thanks to everyone for their advice - especially those who told me not to close the Paypal claim - I have heard nothing from the seller for weeks. Lucky you were all cautious!

Contact eBay immediately. Here's the link to live help: http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/n-livehelp.htmlMake sure you have at hand info about the seller -- name, address, email address, etc. The customer service person should be able to look up both auctions and see if it's the same person.

Looking at the date you won it, and the fact you still haven't received the card, then I would go about getting your money back. If the seller doesn't contact you and you paid via paypal, I would go here: https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_complaint-view and fill in the form...

Scroll up a few messages. FTY got some, but not all, of her money back. If the seller is back in business under a new ID, then she should be able to get the rest of the money.

Funny that the auction is exactly the same... and that she did not offer to give me a replacement if she had 2 spare cards...

Also, she has decided not to accept paypal as a form of payment in this one. Only forms in which, if you did need a refund, you'd either have to go through ebay, or beg the seller. Whereas paypal will try and fight your case for you.
This seems really dodgey, I bet you the person who wins it this time won't get it through either....

How coincidental that less than two weeks after PayPal closes the case (in which she makes 15 pounds and gets to keep the card), she's running the listing again. The two auctions definitely have the same picture. The card is in the same position and each picture has the same mark in the upper right corner.

Thanks Cindy for the link - I just got off the chat and sent this email to Ebay
Member or Item being reported: 6161859952
Message: I won an auction for a Sean Bean autograph card on the 9th January 2005 (6144436727). The card was not received after a month, the seller insisted it was sent. She then deregistered from Ebay and Paypal shortly afterwards. Under these suspicious circumstances, I then filed a Paypal claim and received a partial refund as the seller did not respond to Paypal requests to provide proof of postage. I now see that there is a new auction for this same card (6161859952). The seller has newly registered and is situated in the same area the previous seller was. Is it possible to see if this is the same person registered under a different ID?
Thank you, Jo
I have also sent an email to the high bidder of her current auction with a link to mine warning them to be careful.
So - the ball has started to roll... updates to (hopefully) follow!

Go get her, Jo! Even if you can't recover more funds, eBay might shut down her new ID and auctions.

It's possible that this one is a different seller who is using the description and photo from the auction you won. It's also possible that "Ollie" is the husband of Rebecca or even a fake name.
