NO sign... I am going to send the seller an email asking for a refund. This is ridiculous Here is the suspicious thing... they are no no longer a registered user... :'( Lets see how it goes

They're no longer a registered user? Uh Oh, this doesn't sound good Did you pay through PayPal? Maybe you can try to get your money back. Did he get any negative feedback before he became unregistered? How was his feedback? I hope that it still shows up. Let us know how it goes.

if the seller of the card doesn't reply to paypal in the 10 days then you get your money back.
I have just been through that and because the seller didn't responded to me or paypal i received a full refund
but if they are no longer registered with ebay they might still have there paypal account

Well, their feedback looks pretty good, so I don't think they purposely did not send the item. I do think they must have sent it and maybe it got lost. Did you get insurance?
Did you try emailing them? Keep us posted.

I received a reply from the seller saying that she would look into it, she really sounds lik she is trying to help. She also asked me to tell Paypal that the case is being taken care of... I don;t know if I should do this... if I retract it now and she can't do anything, then I am stuck up the creek without a paddle, as you might say! The fact that she is no longer a Paypal member does not help either She is on holidays at the moment, but she said she would contact Royal Mail as soon as she could.

I would email her back and say that you will leave the dispute in place due to the fact that she is no longer an ebayer user. And that as soon as you recieve the card or refund then you will let paypal know
hope this helps ( if she is genuine then she will understand )

Whatever you do do not tell Paypal it is alright. I would definately say that you have been scammed looking at the evidence. It would be different had she still been a member of Ebay and still actively selling but this seems like a case of signing out with a nice payout. My advice only but I wouldnt retract you Paypal complaint as you will not be able to pursue it again so again DONT DO IT!!!!

Well ...... The card I have waited THREE months for finally arrived this morning! To say I was stunned would be a massive understatement, as I'd given up hope of ever receiving it, so it was a huge shock to see it innocently waiting for me when I got back from work this afternoon! I'd also got a reply to my email I sent to the seller last week waiting for me too, so it's been a relief to write back and tell him I've got the darned thing and miraculously, the card has survived it's lengthy journey in excellent condition. The jiffy envelope was clearly marked as 'Airmail' and posted the day after I paid for it in November, so where exactly it's been in the meantime only the postal services know! I've apologised to the seller for hounding him over this card, but in the circumstances I believe it was justified and I hope he'll understand. I'd also got one of those eBay 'Items not received' disputes open on this transaction too, but I've since closed that and left a really nice response on there for him to see (if he bothers to check his emails!) All in all, I'm glad it's finally done with and I have the card, so don't give up hope on getting yours sorted out FTY!

Congrats on finally getting your card! Meanwhile its been over a month - well the 10 days I have had to wait for the Paypal buyer protection thingy is due to arrive on the 20th of Feb... 3 more days! Lucky I did not cancel the complaint as the seller asked me to - she said she would look into the post office as soon as she got home from holidays... yeah right!

Nienna: Glad you got your card!!!
Ferdinand: You haven't heard from the seller yet? Yeah, good thing you kept the claim open. I still hope it will show up, but in the meantime, you need to do everything you can to get your money back.

erm .... I suppose so, but strictly speaking it belongs on the LOTR thread! It's not that special really ... it's the LOTR Trilogy Pippin Gondorian Tunic .... not 'pretty' like my Divination prop .... just the rarest one out of that particular set! I'm just amazed it's turned up after all this time AND in very nice condition.

I would still like to see it too. Should you post it in LOTR somewhere and direct us where to go?

If it was me I would send paypal a copy of the email you received and let them think what they want. All that matters now is that you either get the card or your money back
