Will you be buying cases?

What will your plans be?

I daresay a lot of us will collect it but will we buy cases?

You see the whole problem with this set is that so many people preordered that they made the set a HUGE set to collect and then made a lot of those cards to fulfil orders (99% of trading card sets seem to be made to order these days).

If people don't buy (or buy far fewer) cases this time, production numbers will be much lower and the prices of the individual cards will be relatively high (compared to this set) and would make cases worth buying.

So what will you plan to do?

I think (depending on financial circumstances at the time) I might buy 1-2 cases but it would depend on set content - since there aren't many good cards that have not been done yet - I think Hagrid, Snape and McGonagall cards (either autos or costumes) would be on my "most wanted" list.

I know i would not buy more than 1 or 2 boxes but that is more for finacial reasons but A must for me would be any cards with hagrid or mcgonagall although i would lean more towards costume cards with Maggie smith than auto .

But when i comes to cards i have been able to collect alot more of the poa update cards at affordable prices that the original poa but saying that I did by a dementer hand case card for just over $10.00 US so
I am just happy that they are making auto prop costume creature cards

lol nothing but an approx release date.

Not even the name Philosopher's/Sorcerers (obviously it will be the nonsensical sorcerers)... the correct term for them is "Harry Potter 1"  Roll Eyes

I plan to buy just a box or two of this set, and maybe a box or two of COS.  I prefer to save up for the GOF set in October.

I think Artbox will find that there won't be a lot of preorders unless they release info in advance about about the auto, prop, and costume cards.  We all preordered the update set sight unseen and a lot of people got burned.  Those buyers won't want to make the same mistake again.

I think they ought to show they are not going to make the same mistake again.

Limit it to 900 cases and people will be tumbling over themselves to buy.

Not 2500 cases or more as is likely with the last set

I read somewhere (NSU?) that Robbie Coltrane will not do autographs for trading cards.  One of the card companies wanted him to sign for a James Bond set, and he refused. Sad

Hmm...A piece of Quirrell's turban would make a great costume card!

Yeah come to think of it I had read that - he's on a par with Ian McKellen for that one.

But I am sure we still have a chance on costumes Smiley

There are sets for both the first and second movies.  They are plain trading cards, no special inserts, and can be bought fairly cheaply on eBay.  Here are a couple of auctions:

If you want to find others, search under "Harry Potter movie cards."

But there are only these cards for the first movie. BTW: If someone needs a nearly complete set of these cards, just send a PM.  Grin

Right, which is why Artbox is doing another set, with inserts.

I am confused.  The list on this thread shows CoS and GoF, but no SS.  Is there definitely a SS set to be released?  On about what month?
