i got a couple more busts, eomer and also a moria orc so I had to buy another suitcase

Well met JRD.. LOOOOOOOOOOONG line, chatted with everyone again and the weekend is over

I did find out alot of cool stuff. Kong is done, it is in post right now post production i guess? There WILL be more lotr weta.. but dont know what, the actors were paid $1.50 a card from topps to sign so you can see why they didnt want to do them topps is retarded!

Also Dan from weta was given sketch cards from star wars and he turned them down because he figured it would take 6 months at working on a few a night to get them all done at the quality they asked for.. and they would give him $0.50 ( yes 50 cents) a card.

$1.50 a card? I daresay that people like Liv and Viggo do it as a service to the fans... now why should Topps make SO MUCH money out of the actors wanting to be able to distribute their autos??

(it's a capitalistic world.. I understand why they need to make *some decent* money but that is way OTT)

P.S. $0.50 a card for sketches is LAUGHABLE!

I think those fees are appalling!
Small wonder the standard of sketches on some of the Star Wars cards was so poor if the artists got paid so little for such a high volume of them.
Even worse for them knowing just how much Topps would be making on them.

And is it any wonder that some of the LOTR signees didn't want to repeat-sign cards for the sets!

I have never been one for busts but I am starting to take a liking to them since I got a Neo from The Matrix bust for Xmas from Kay

Oh some things I just thought of, there IS talk about an Indiana jones 4 movie.... but only if everything is right, straight from mr JRD himself. Also PJ wants to make the hobbit, there was a special video just for the people at ORC and it said he wanted to and telling them to hurry up and finish the disputes so he can make the movie because retirement is on its way ( BTW it looks like PJ lost alot of weight)
