Hey guys, I apologize, as this may be more appropriate for the other POA card forum, but it seems as though more people frequent this one.  I'm SURE that one of you guys can help me out with this though, as I bet alot of you are looking to get rid of these.  But I was wondering if anyone would be willing to sell me a base set for the first POA card release?
I am ordering two boxes from ebay (thanks to everyone for their help in locating some great auctions!) so that I can put together an update set, and hope for at least one decent pull.  I am really interested in the collectors aspect of this, so I would really enjoy to have a compete base set.
Aside from that I am interested in putting together a side 'Hermione Set' ,  although it will be very incomplete as I doubt I could afford the auto cards.  Thanks to Anna for providing me with several of the costume cards from both sets.  But I am also looking for a first run Pink jumpsuit top, if anyone would be willing to part with it.
So, I'm starting to feel really good about this whole collection thing thus far.  It really is quite funny have addictive it has become - And I don't even OWN a single card....lol.
I have found that I have been frequenting this site very often over the past few days.  After starting that single topic and sending out a few other posts, I couldn't wait to get responses.  I was expecting one or hopefully two, but all of you have been beyond belief!  I was sitting in class the other day, really excited to come back and see if any of you had responded, and I then came home to find nine messages.  Really awesome!
But I think I'm really going to put most of my money and emphasis into the GoF release.  I have been reading all of the posts in this forum from the first few days of the update release.  That all looks like such fun.....the community of anticipation.
As it is, I am extremly happy to have bumped into this website.  You all seem like such great, nice people.
Aside from all of this.......I have read mention of a card show in April?  If it is in New Jersey, I live close enough that I could certianly travel to it.  I know it is still a while away, but where and when if anyone knows?  I would LOVE to stop by and check it out.  Many of us who make it could all meet up as well.
Well take care, and I'm looking forward to your responses!

Hi Aaron

If you have troubles I can send you a base HP PoA set but you might find it better to respond to someone in the USA (cheaper postage Smiley)

I think it's a good idea to wait to the GoF release... originally there was a plan to bring out a Philosopher's/Sorcerers Stone set in March/April this year and then before GoF a Chamber of secrets set as well... however as you will have noticed the cards from this set (although beautiful) are not doing well for the dealers or for people buying cases, and unfortunately if people don't put the orders in the cases won't be made, and the cards will be rare again rather like the expensive first set.

It's hard to know whether people will still order lots of cases from the new set because IF no one orders any the set will be short produced and it will be a big financial success again putting the cards out of my reach on an individual basis... argh - too many factors to think about - I wish I was an economics student Wink

Hi Emmafan!!  Here is the link for the card show that will be in Mount Laurel, NJ in April (the 1st and 2nd).  It is 20 minutes or so outside of Philadelphia:

http://reightershows.com/

There is also a show that will be in Philadelphia in June, but it costs a lot more and is for comics as well.  It is called Wizard World.  Here is the link:

http://www.wizarduniverse.com/conventions/philadelphia.cfm

I will be at both of these shows.

Unfortunately, I only got one box of the original set, so I do not have a complete set for you.  I wonder if you could still find them on eBay fairly cheap?

You might want to try posting your request for a base set in the Diagon Alley section of the forum.
