Cheesy

Hmm I'll have to wait another week before I'll go home (to see my parents) and see if it's there Smiley

Looks as though it will be a bean-feast for Leggy fans!  Tongue

I missed out on those issues altogether, but by all accounts they're the BEST for all-things-rings! Wink

No problem all all (of course).

But allow plenty of time, there are 18 of them and there aren't any you won't want to read properly Wink

With the other issues, there is an interview with the person on the cover, but they could not get Orlando becuase he was to busy. If your subscription continues past issue 18, you can go to the fan club site and choose if you want to get a past issue or 5 decipher dollars for each magazine they owe you. If you do not pick by Jan. 31, you automatically get the money.

That's useful isn't it? I was not an early member so my name's not on the DVD nor did I have the early issues but thanks to this (and Alyssa a forum member) I should have a complete collection!

Can anyone tell me whats in the final issue 18??

If you do & you have received issue (final one!) 18 - can you let me know whats in it? not got mine in post yet

I am a member & have so far got all issues up to 17 - however as they are not carrying on with magazine anymore, I am entitled to get 5 back issues & just wanted to know what issue 18 had before I pick/choose!

If anyone is a particular issue short, I may be able to help.

I am at a bit of loss as what to do with the back issues but hey I would rather have them then get a rather measley $5 credit as I never got anything from the website apart from these magazines.

Hello Cowblue:

As you know Legolas is on the cover and it is pretty weak that he could not find the time to contribute to this issue so my question is why have him on the cover at all if that is his attitude?  Thanks fans for making me rich and well known but I don't have time for you and your Fan Magazine!

Here is the contents of issue # 18:

Mailbaggins

News from Middle-Earth

Down the Adventure Path - this is a cool story about a firm making Middle-Eath furniture for your home!

Fan Focus

Catalog itmes for sale

Last Word - Dan Madsen expresses his thanks to Fans.

Exclusive Update with Peter Jackson

The Storytellers - Philippa Boyens tells her story.

Artifacts - Mary Maclachlan from the Minatures Dept. tells her story.

A Brush with Greatness - Gino Acevedo Special Makeup Effects Artist story.

Pride & Joy - story about an upcoming documentary film about LOTR's fans.

On Location With - LOTR's Travel Book writer Ian Brodie tells how he made his book.

Unsung Heroes - story about the LOTR's fan base.

Hope this helps.   Smiley

I must confess to enjoying the bits about the cast and PJ best in these magazines as a general rule, but they have had some wonderful articles from behind the scenes:

making the jewelry
the work of the artists like John Howe
leather work
background to the special effects

Well it's all been marvellous, I am going to miss it Sad

Thanks Thanh... I hadn't realised I didn't have issue 10 til I checked through today... who's on the cover of 10 then?

How odd I missed it  Embarrassed

And don't even MENTION my passport - I've had it stolen from my student room and I've had to report it to the Police and everything

 Angry

It's just at this time I expect to get a letter saying I have won an "around the world trip" if I can leave tomorrow!!!

Sorry to hear about your passport....& no I did not steal it!

Still a student eh?...you mean us hard working people are still paying taxes for you whilst all you do is run up massive student loans/debts etc???!!!??? How shocking.

No no don't worry - the government don't fund me - a collaboration of companies do - so unless you work for one of them then you have nothing to worry about Smiley
