I saw this today - I am a huge fan of Spongebob - and found it to be hilarious! There were a couple of weak points, the journey of the Monster filled trench being one, but apart from that - pure Spongebob gold! I couldn't stop laughing all the time the 'celebrity' was on screen  Definitely not a film for when you have those intellectual moments, but one for cheering yourself up with, or just to have a laugh! I took a friend in who was complaining and rolling his eyes about it (he wouldn't even say the name of the movie when he bought his ticket - he just said 'same as her'  ), and he came out loving it and quoting Patrick, of all things See it, you won't regret it! |

We saw this in November right after it opened. My kids were 4 (they turn 5 today!), it was their first movie in a theater, and we all loved it! Many of the jokes went over their heads, but there was enough funny stuff for everyone to enjoy. My personal favorites scenes were the ones with David Hasselhoff. The way he made fun of himself was hysterical!
The kids have already made us promise to get the DVD when it comes out.

My kids are still talking about the scene where Patrick floats in "holding" the SpongeBob flag! They're constantly quoting lines, too. A very funny movie, and worth every cent.  Do you have Burger King in Australia? Here they had a huge SpongeBob promotion with their kids meals and they had adult-size watches, too. I hate their food, but we ended up going there twice a week so the kids could collect the toys. |

Ah yes, the flag My 'anti-SB' friend now has that quote as his MSN tagline We do have BK here, not sure if they are doing any promos - McDonalds is doing an Incredibles promo though ATM - I LOVE that movie as well |

OOh I can't wait! I've seen about 12 episodes of spongebob and loved them all The problem is that film makers do themselves out of business... Mark and I never bothered seeing Hellboy in the cinema (total cost £12 + popcorn if we are in the mood for it) we just bought it on DVD about 3 months before it came out in the cinema here (£9.99 + electricity water and tea bags ) |

No, they don't come out here on DVDbefore the movie is out, they come out in Region 1 (USA).
It's rare but it does happen!

That's only good if you have the DVD player to play it on though! Most players sold in the UK play only region 2 discs, unless you can find the codes etc to unlock them so they'll play any region. Apparently, the cheaper the DVD player the easier this is to do to it!  |

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!! Good move!! I've been told by several ppl that if you buy one of these cheap supermarket 'own brand' DVD players then they're really easy to unlock. Apparently the more *cough* expensive *cough* ones are a pain in the backside to do and no prizes for guessing which of the two kinds my other half insisted on having?! True, it's a lovely machine and all that gubbins, but I think I'd rather have one of the forty quid ones from Asda!!  Oh ... you know the HP mp3s I sent to you? They will play in a cheaper DVD player too!  I did a copy for a lass at work and she told me about listening to them on hers, so I had to try them in my cheapo TV/DVD combo and sure enough they worked! We tried them in the PS2 but they didn't play in that! So now ya know! |

I love Spongebob and plain to rent this movie as soon as it is out on DVD. I want to get the video game too.
I agree that the movies cost way to much, so I usually always wait to rent things. Except for Harry Potter and Star Wars, the only two movies I think need that "theatre" experience.
Besides, it is nice to be able to hit the pause button and get a snack without missing anything.

Yeah all the cheap DVD players can do all that stuff. They can normally play copied DVDs too! DVD players that play MP3s will normally say so on the outside. If you tell me what make and model of DVd player you have I might be able to find a way of unlocking it for you! Worth a try, eh?

Le'ts just say that I people choose their course in life and are rarely influenced in their sexuality by cartoons (certainly my opinion anyway)
