Providing I have the DVD, it can be anything  Wink I can also do it with AVI, MPG, MPEG, ASF and WMV files  Smiley The only thing with DVDs is that I have to screen cap the frames manually so it takes abit longer, whereas I can use a program to extract the frames for me on the video files.

Oh dear I think the latin was easier  Huh

Just being nosey for the time being (as you might have guessed).

At some point I will pm you for a master class in avatar making if you don't mind.  I can just see Pinky bobbing around at the side of the screen Cheesy

By the way do you have the patience of a saint??? Grin

Indeed, I have to! The sirus poster icon I did took just over 2 hours to make. I took the screen caps (32 of them) from the scene in hogsmead (you can probably see bits of snow falling infront of it) - where the camera passes by a hut with the poster on. The camera was moving along, but at the same time, getting closer to the poster meaning each frame had to be resized and positioned on top of the previous frame correctly. I still didn't get it 100% right which is why the background tends to wiggle abit (same with kbmums icon).  Roll Eyes Tongue Grin

I love doing it though...I must be mad  Grin

I think this might be one of those times when you need to retract a statement.  As far as I can see this is bloomin' perfect Grin

How do you use the icons?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v185/luluhime/mapicon.gif

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v185/luluhime/pottersnitch.gif

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v185/luluhime/hermoniepunchicon.gif

Copy the text under the icon you want (click and drag your cursor over the url, then right click and select 'copy')
Go into your profile and in the avatar section, tick the box where it says, 'I have my own pic'. Right click in that box and click paste.  Grin Wink

Here you go, a double whammy!

Unfortuneatly the size of the icon kills the scene, but atleast you can tell who it is

I'm sure Mcgonagell will love it...
