Having watched some of the DVD extras, at the end of final filming, the cast had a little presentation and were given props to take home as souvenirs e.g Elijah got Sting and the One Ring (as did Andy Serkis), Miranda got her belt, Christopher Lee his staff, etc etc.

Viggo says the best souvenirs remain in his head and heart, but what would you have liked to be given?
My Choice:
1) Anything that Aragorn wore/held (!)
2) The palantir
3) The whole set of sketches at the end of the RoTK - I personally think the one of Boromir is superb!

1) Sean Bean
2) Boromir's horn (sounds bad) so perhaps his shield
3) The Bag End set - would love to live in a house like that.

After seeing alan lee and it was asked about the drawings at the end of ROTK he said that they will be in his sketchbook that he has coming out next year sometime ( probably around christmas) He said there will be drawings from the pages of his books while on the set.

I would have liked Saurons mace / helm or the WK helm. Anduril or any of the paper type products, like the map, letters, sarumans book..

It would have to be a map from Bag End (or alternatively Angels I'll squat in Bag End with you until Peter Jackson turfs us out Wink)

They are so beautiful - definitely worth nicking (do you remember on the ROTK EE DVD Ian McKellen said to Elijah Wood when in Bag End for the last time- "what shall we nick? This is our last chance")

ROFL Grin

For me it would be:
1. Legolas' Galadhrim bow
2. Anduril
3. Arwen's evenstar
4. The One ring

All in no particular order! Wink

Mine would be:~

The journal you see Bilbo and Frodo writing in ... "There and Back Again, A Hobbit's Tale by Bilbo Baggins."
(I'm not sure if Peter Jackson meant that to be the Red Book of Westmarch or not?)
The One Ring
Frodo's Elven Cloak
Hadhafang (looked gorgeous when I saw it at the Science Museum in London!)
Sting (ditto above)
Leggy's bow, quiver and arrows (sorry Jo if you'd got first dibs on those .... I'll share! Smiley)
Any of the maps .....
Enough length of material used in Galadriel's white dress to make a garment for myself ... it was stunning at the Science Museum!
The Helm of Sauron

Oh .... and I'll fight Mr Jackson for Bag End to be re-constructed in my back garden! Tongue

Hee Hee .... don't want much do I? LOL Grin
Seriously though, anything would suit me from the set  Smiley

Everyone has excellent choices!!  Smiley  I wonder how much cool stuff was given/taken by all who worked on the films?

My guess would be that there were lots of duplicates of key items in the films anyway ... we've all heard how Andy Serkis and Elijah Wood were given a 'One Ring' each and I know more were made at differing sizes depending on how they were to be filmed.
The same would be true of the Elven Brooches too ...
Perhaps we'll see a trickle of items appear on eBay over time, but think Peter Jackson won't be too pleased to see anything 'major' up for auction considering he owns all the props! Shocked
I'm sure the cast and crew would've had a souvenir or two given to them ... I'd like to think Peter Jackson is a generous man to work for/with! Smiley
I'd like to bet that certain that items were quietly 'lifted' too! Wink
... guess we'll never know for sure .... Tongue
