JKR has updated her site today with lots of great info.  There's new info in the news, rumors, FAQ, extras, rubbish bin, and fansite sections.

There were rumors of two bookstore memos telling stores that a release date would be announced in January.  According to the Leaky Cauldron, two sources close to JKR said these memos are false and the first place a release date would be disclosed is on JKR's website.  One source said JKR might be addressing this issue on her website soon.

A while back, she said that the baby would not interfere with the writing of the book.  I took that to mean she expected to be done with the book before the baby is born sometime in the beginning of 2005.  So, we could see an announcement from her in January or February.

There is a rumor that JKR is going to provide more information, via her website, on Christmas Day  There's also a lot of talk about a seemingly minor change she made to the welcome note on the front page -- here's the link:
