lol really? I don't remember one going for *quite* so much, but £144 is low by today's standards and with the imminent release of ROTK EE

Hi MPC:

Question - why are the Bidder ID's kept secret on your auctions?  I like to see who I am bidding against.  Thanks.

Hi there Savage and Jason
I do it for a couple of reasons:
1.To stop people knowing who they are bidding against[this may sound bad but if it stops people bidding then as a seller it is bad for me]
2.To stop all the people emailing bidders offering them the same item cheaper - this is happening more and more as the Ebay fees start to mount up.
I think the best way for it to be done would be for the auction to be private until all bidding had finished and the second chance offers had been so maybe a week and then after 7 days let the bidding be made public.
Thats my view on it Smiley

Well like I said I dont like it for a few reasons, I get emails for things I bid on and I dont trust them, if i want something i am gonna buy it. but I am not about to get in a bidding war with someone I know for something, or know whats goingon with it.

Doesn't 'contact member' also send your details to the bidder? Gotta watch these things!
