I think he may have done the same thing for you as well though - blocking you from bidding on his auction. What you could do is create a new account and start jacking up the price on his auction without him knowing its you!

getting damned pricey! thats a rip off, you should have put the water mark on top.

Sadly it's all automatic - the image goes in and whenever it's called a watermarked image comes out. No choice of location :s

Nice idea! I'm all up for that! What have you got to lose?

I guess they figure if your "non card" is worth 5 million smackers that this has to be worth something

I would have been rich - if only I'd kept all these that I threw away Tongue

This is easy enough -- anyone with a paper cutter and a few, spare, dozen base sets can replicate the same, stunning results!  Cheesy

I noticed the auction ended.  Did anyone on this forum win it?  I also see that ztaylork had the second highest bid, so I must ask....did you get a second chance offer?

Fat.ferengi = 501Cards

Yes we sold all our Update in the first few days after it came out (Thank god seeing as how the prices went after the first few days)

Yes we were also the people selling the Update sets at a Quid at Memorbilia

I am trying to arrange to meet Mr Blood  Roll Eyes to collect the card from him and pay cash in the next few days.

This is the problem when photos get used without permission, you never know when its genuine do

Will elt you know if the card ever appears

Never even heard of 501 cards. Roll Eyes

And I didn't see you at Memorabilia either  Roll Eyes

May I ask why you are buying such a rare card from a seller with
a bad reputation? You don't have to answer of course  Smiley

Hi Richard. That sounds advisable, I wouldn't part with the cash myself til I had the card in this instance.

Obviously I'd be green eyed if you get the card for the money but I wouldn't hold my breath in this instance Wink

Well, there is only one reason to buy the card from said seller "Price"!

If it is genuine and comes in then its a bargain,  if its not the most I can lose is a 30 min jolly up the M1 to Leeds.

Still waiting for an Email from Him, keeping an open mind till then,

Me thinks I will request his contact details from Ebay and give his telephone a call if I don't get an email back from him today

Cheers

Richard, please keep us all posted on this.  I am really curious to see how it pans out.  If you do get it for that price, wow, lucky you!!!!

hmm I will have you know young sir, its 501Cards, not 501 cards.  Grin

We don't bestow our precence on the general rabble these days  Grin Grin unless of course Vicky has stocked up a basement full of s**t (Sorry valuable collectible stock), that she feels the need to pass on to the populus at a very generous price!  Wink

You have to go back to when Darren sold cards out of the Conservatory at his Mums house rather than a warehouse for the history of 501Cards  Cool

Oh is it really all those years ago, Stop its making me feel old! Sob Angry

You are a very modern man Olly and they are from before your time  Smiley I remember the booklet they used to do and send out - photocopied with price lists...

I had never heard of these sorts of cards and to get a base set for £3, well frankly I thought I was in heaven! When they had a special offer and I bought a Thunderbirds base set for £2 (this was the last Thunderbirds set Tongue so this is DONKEYS years ago) for my Brother I thought it rocked  Smiley

Ahh a child card collector - it was certainly my fate to run this forum Wink

LOL not experience that's for sure - Olly has card feedback coming out of his ears (really... it's most disconcerting when you are trying to have a conversation with him Wink)

Ah Roz,

You bring Back memories,  1990 ProSet Thunderbirds,  how I remember them,

I was living in Enfield, North London, and went to a local industrial esate to get some empty plastic boxes for stock and the factory manager took me to a back room and showed me over 50 cases of rather grubby Proset boxes of Thunderbirds, I had never seen so many cards (They were sealing them for Proset when they went bust!),

Anyway he gave me the lot for a fiver  (2 transits full!)

So I broke some, real sod to make sets they were! and traded the rest to Darren for a load of Star Trek TNG Seasons that were out that week (Season 2 me thinks),  anyway that allowed me to sell them cheap.. memories!   And I Still feel old  Angry

darn it is a long time,

Thinking back to my First show in London at Westminster Hall (Jason Joiners , long gone now),  My Eldest daughter was 6 months old in a carry cot under the table at the show, as we broke CCG cards! (Star Trek & Magic),

She is 13 now and was selling for us on the stall at the NEC! Last Week  Help where did the years go
