Note to Mark & Roz.......

It may be worth adding 'Music' to this forum.

Anyway,

In years gone by (vinyl), whenever I bought a new album I would sit there listening & reading the lyrics. After about 4 or 5 listens, I'd have a good idea whether I liked the album or not. Those days have long gone, and I miss them.

However,

All I've listened to over the last few days is the new U2 album. Stunning. Sensational. Superb. Every listen increases my appreciation, it is wonderful.

The only thing that could beat this is a long awaited (and probably never to materialise) Pink Floyd album (but I am an old git).

Listen to HDDAAB - It is U2 from the 80's, no pretentions, no 'force down your thoat' messages, just rock at it's very best.

Ps 'Miracle Drug' will turn out to be one of the classics of the 00's

Your wish is our command.

Does this mean you will throw out your current IPOD and buy the new U2 one?

lol cool title, and apart from "atomic" it's rather like they just finished reading Angels and Demons!

Hmm perhaps this forum ought to have "books" in the title too!

Trey, have you read the Da Vinci Code as well? Ed (savage727) and I have been plugging Angels and Demons and the Da Vinci code for months! Fantastic books Smiley

I just finished reading Digital Fortress as well (in one mammoth 6 hour sitting) which was great. Not as good as A&D (can anyone top that?Huh) but classic Dan Brown -  suspenseful, brilliantly written, detailed research and intricate detail. This was a bit more distant from me in terms of subject area - dealt with US security concerns and mathematical cryptology (distant from most people, I think Wink), but nevertheless was very enthralling

Fab Smiley I highly recommend. One more (Deception Point) to go!

Ahhh No I have not read the Da Vinci Code.....I was thinking about buying the books and then all of a sudden I read the posts about Roz getting her set and someone (I actually think it was you Jo) said that you have to read Angels and Demons cause it was written before the DaVinci Code and was great too.

So I thought I would read that first and then the Da Vinci Code....I was totally enthralled from day one. I have been reading it on the train to work and home, plus on my lunch breaks (yes that is how much I am loving it)!!!

I want to read all four now too Smiley
