well I received my copy in the post yesterday and have now watched the film 3 times and most of the special features.

The film is growing on me more and more with each watch.

Very much like the two towers did with me with LOTR.

The interviews with the cast are great they are interviewed by jonny Vaughn  and the shrunken Head from the Knight Bus (Lenny Henry)

there are a few deleted scenes but only 5 from what i have seen and Sir Cadogan make an appearence.

All in all a great DVD

Why are the release dates not the same world wide?  I can't believe it is a distribution problem in this day and age.  Anyone know?

It's because nobody likes America  Roll Eyes
(and they like Australia even less)

JUUUUUUST kidding! I have no idea... just to annoy you all - although it's quite nice that the boot is on the other foot for a change Tongue ROFL no it's stupid - simultaneous worldwide release is the way to go!

Have there been any of the Harry Potter stars attending any of the Collectormania or similar events in England or is anything special going on with the release of the DVD?

Do you get the lousy DVD packaging over there as we do here from Warner Brothers?  Whoever approved and designed the DVD cases for the Harry Potter movies should be boiled slowly in oil!!  Wink

Yea - the new Harry Potter DVD is in a regular plastic box this time!!   Smiley  It was released here in the States today and I saw it in Wal-Mart tonight.  I pre-ordered my copy through the DVD Club I belong to so I should get mine by the end of the week.   Smiley
