My ebay ID is okie117.
Mine is a nickname from years ago when calling people by their last names was popular. Unfortunately, not many can pronounce my last name so it was shortened to Okie. I wanted number 7-11 (craps), but it was taken so I took 11-7 instead.

Nope, I have no ties to that state. I do have some relatives that live there though, but I've never been there myself.

I'm on there as d_mactor (though I just buy, not sell ) I've noticed that you've been quite active as a bidder/buyer lately. And no I'm not spying on you, I just "watch" a lot of auctions for the Price Guide.

Well, I thought I'de post my ebay id once and for all. My sister (thor), another sister, and I use it, but thor and I are the only ones who bid on cards. Further, I've been respecting everyone's ebay id since I discovered the list (if they were the current high bidder) ... I usually don't bid until the day the auction ends anyways My id is: blackpepperimps Before anyone says I chose this because of the card set, I didn't! Honestly, I didn't even know of the card set at the time. I chose it simply because the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Events in Japan. They had a small recreation of Honeydukes, and behind some glass windows was all kinds of candy. Since I loved Honeydukes in both the books and the film, I decided to change my ebay id (as I often do) to one of the candy names! Low and behold, I got this picture: A Black Pepper Imps card was just a bonus. BTW, I don't have the Imps cards, yet. I'm saving for it ... And, I think Fizzing Whizzbees was in close second.

What a lovely person you are But really, its more a recognising each other thing more than a 'you must not bid on something someone else has bid on' rule. So if I see something I like and a member has bid on it and been outbid, then I go for it! I just thought it was nice to make the Ebay community just a bit smaller

When I was on another forum ages ago, I went through an off-ebay transaction that ended up a big old mess. I don't really wanna go through the details, but it was a catalyst for me separating myself from the forum. I'll never go there again ... in any respect, I'm much happier here! I just don't wanna to repeat anything like that again whether on ebay or here. I like this forum too much to leave it for good. Well, I did get sick and very busy for the two or three months back there but that was different

Great bunch of folks here. My eBay IDs the same as on the forum. I'm just wondering now if anything will sell for more than the opening bid. It seem there are a lot of crazed collectors right here on the shack. . I see a seperate thread where a list of eBay IDs has been started, this will be very helpful for me to print out and post next to the computer until I get more comfortable with the members eBay IDs. I hope it will be kept updated as I will check back for new additions. Please forgive me if I do bid against you as I do use auction sniping software at times since my work schedule places me a work in the evenings, but rest assured if you are the high bidder at the time I get ready to place a snipe I will not do it. May I say this is a brilliant idea. dave

I guess the idea is that if you see someone bidding on it that you know you can always drop them a mail and see if you are likely to get involved in a mad bidding war with them and if so - fight it out
