Out soon with previously unseen clips from the Lord of the Rings extravaganza - The Return of the King...

a treat for us all from EA games. This time you get to play with a friend controlling another character... do the baddies of Middle Earth stand a chance against me???

What do you guys think?

In my capacity as computer game nut extraodinaire I have to say I have been VERY disapointed with the first two LOTR games. I will probably just rent it on XBrick from Blockbuster when it comes out before I spend any serious cash and actually buy the thing.

Really? I never liked the look of the first one but the second was a genuine good bit of hack 'n' slash action. Not very deep as a game but good for a bit of light hearted entertainment, I have to say. We'll probably be getting the third as well  Wink

Well, I played the fellowship game on the PC, not at all impressed. URGH!

Then I waited until March or so to get the Gamecube TT. I really enjoyed it but it was very shortlived for the £32 I gave for it, hack slash "goodbye watcher" and basically not much else. It was a FANTASTIC couvenir of the movie though, with all the clips. But by March I had actually already seen the movie!

I really enjoyed the overall package though and LOVED the fact that they had got the original actors on board to do some of the voices.

The point was that if you lived in the States and owned a playstation you would have played the game before the film came out, and I think that would have made a real difference.

I can attest to what Roz just said.  I did get the PS2 ROTK when it came out here in the United States and enjoyed it very much especially with all the clips from the movie included.  It just made me want to see the movie even more.  I posted this info on another topic in The Forum - check out your Disk 2 from ROTK to see previews of a new EA game called "The Battle for Middle Earth".  It looks great.
