Hi all,

I know that this is a long shot considering that this product is several years old but I became interested in collecting this set from Artbox and have been able to find some sealed boxes and have gotten many of the autos, costumes, and props. The only auto that I need out of the 12 is Johnny Depp but I do need many of the costumes and props. If anyone has autos and is looking to trade or sell please contact me here or at dwdds01@aol.com. Or, even if these cards are locked up in your personal collection but you would be willing to post scans that would be nice too! Thanks! Dave

Welcome to the forum Dave! I don't have many of these cards, but I can tell you where to find scans. Go to the price guide option at the top. Then, select "view cards". There will be a drop down arrow and you can select this set to see all the pictures from the cards that were included.

I have some of the props, but never got around to picking up any autos or costumes.  My favorite is the chocolate bar.  Wink  If you want to see a truly awesome master set my friend collected, click on these links below.  Her variants are amazing!

The Depp auto is VERY hard to find.  It occasionally turns up on eBay and sells for a great deal of money.  If only Topps had been able to produce a Pirates of the Caribbean set...

I managed to back in to a "pseudo" master set through the luck of pulling the Depp auto from one of the two boxes I bought.  Evil

Of course, there's the Golden Ticket card, # to 18. More of them here than in the book or movies ...

But this series did a fine job in making it impossible to display a master set in a binder. There were two remarkable props, the "short grass" (# to 39, a 25-case incentive) and "long grass" (# to 95, exclusive to NY Toy Fair) from the chocolate room of the factory. The picture for the long-grass version at the Price Guide almost doesn't do it justice:

It came in a 5.5" x 4" x 2-7/8" plastic case, which I'd really call a terrarium. Maybe some other Artbox prop cards would grow that large if somebody watered them.  Roll Eyes

kbmum- your friend's collection not only of that set but of other sets is incredibly comprehensive and valuable. Thanks for showing!

I'll get myself a Depp eventually, for now I'll pick off props and costumes where and when I can find them.

got my latest two autos for my Charlie and the Chocolate Factory set today, now I'm down to the last one- the big kahuna himself, Mr. Johnny Depp

Freddie Highmore as Charlie Bucket- actually the rarest auto in the set at just 89 signed

Christopher Lee as Dr. Wilbur Wonka- another extremely rare one with just 120 signed

here is the auto set progress to this point:

let me know what you guys think and if anyone can point me towards a Depp or has any props or costumes for trade please let me know!

thanks, Dave
