I could be very wrong, but it appears that the factory mixed up some, if not all, of the P7 Lockhart books with the P9 O.W.L. exams. Look at these:

I agree with you 100%. I thought the Lockhart Books looked a lot like the old OWL props we are used to seeing. Leave it to Artbox.

I was thinking the exact same thing!!!! Both of the P7's I pulled look
like O.W.L.'s and the two P9's look like books!!! The P9 I won last night
definitely is a book cover!!!  Roll Eyes

A lot of the P9 swatches came from "Gilderoy Lockhart's Guide to Household Pests."

Current eBay auction --  part of the L and O, and part of the box, from the cover:

jfer21 -- part of the K and D from the author's name:

kaylasweetie -- insect on the top left of the cover:

This really stinks. :'(  I love the Lockhart books and would have loved to get these swatches in the right card.

It looks like it's true (and universal). I don't see a single P7 that looks like it's part of a book, and you'd think at least one would show up. My P9 doesn't have a pattern, but its color and texture is a good match for the 'Pests' cover.

The card with the face has a prop sample the picture from Gagging with Gouls

Yeah, I had been wondering where those letters would have shown up in an OWL exam.  I just figured it was part that we just didn't see on-screen.  It's good to know where it came from!  Not to mention that it is actually part of the letters of Lockhart's name.  It's too bad its not on the right card.  It would have gone nicely with the parts of Lockhart's name that I already have from the Magical Me prop.  Now to figure out where the swatch from my Lockhart Book card came from, because it doesn't look like much of a test.  Most of the other ones I have seen have the lines and such.

I suspect it's part of the heading of a test sheet. Mine had a darker, large letter that might be a piece of an "O" (for O.W.L.) or it could even be a "C" for the Charms exam. I haven't seen any pix of the exam papers anywhere.

I know there's a picture of the O.W.L. prop somewhere, but I can't find it. Undecided  I've seen some O.W.L. cards with the Gadding with Ghouls prop, mostly the gold background and the frame with a small piece of the picture.  Good catch, terryweasley! Smiley

**Edit**
Aha!  Found it!  Bitsy posted this in the props thread. Smiley  I don't see Jennifer's swatch on it, though.  The prop has a lot of pages and folds.

Thanks for the research! There's a lot of sheets where we can't see the titles. Her letters are about the right relative size to be one of the headings.

My P7 is part of the zero on the 04 sheet, if they didn't use the same font-decoration on one of the other sheets' zeroes. Jackie's P7 looks like the corner of one of overlaid D's of the Continuation sheet; the overlap with the baseline is exact.

Meanwhile i'm sure too, they mixed all the P7 and P9s up. All the P7 are the O.W.L.s papers and all the P9 are Lockhart Books. It's really a shame. I would prefer the right prop in the right card.  :'(

How much do you think a P9 with lockhearts guide to house hold pests swatch with 3 letters on it would be worth or go for on ebay, it is in mint condition!  I will put up scans later today

Is there a reason why they havent been selling much is it just because everyone is waiting on the Blood Prince boxes to be released?  If i get some scans up can you just give me a shot in the dark on what you think KBMUM?  Thanks very much.  Also  where is the best trusted and cheapest place for me to get any of the harry potter hobby boxes any of them?  Im in the USA.  Thanks for your help!

The two 3D sets didn't really sell that well, probably because Artbox has produced quite a few filler sets.  Of course, there are exceptions for variants.  You're best bet for pricing is to do a search for completed eBay items.  As for boxes of any HP release, most of those are fairly scarce now, too, with the exception of the Memorable Moments 2 release.  You could try Tom Breyer, Julio's Nonsport Depot, Potomac Distribution, and Georgetown Card Exchange, to name a few.  There are also dealers who visit this site who are excellent.  If any of them have boxes to sell, perhaps they could PM you.

I just posted about this in the MM2 scans and comments thread.  Basically, you have to upload your images to a photo hosting site, such as Photobucket.  After you set up an account there and upload your photos, copy an image's IMG tagline, paste it into your post, and the picture will appear when you submit the post.

Most dealers and many comic book/trading card shops have supplies like sleeves, top loaders, 9-pocket pages, and screwdown cases.  You can also find supplies on eBay.  You'll need to estimate how thick your cards are in order to get the correct size for each card.  Props can be thick, and some HP cards like Fluffy's Fur are too thick for any screwdown.  I think most people use a snap case for that one.
