what is quite interesting is in the last 10 days 9 Potion books have been sold on ebay separately there are currently 4 up for auction 2 more in prop set have been sold and there are 3 more prop sets currently up for auction. So in the last 10 days we can account for 18 of the 100 potion cards that are available I am sure Artbox will have kept quite a few. Almost a fifth of them already listed on ebay. I have another 3 and I bet there are a lot already in collections I think we will see listings for that card dry up quickly.

Too true! I haven't done a complete analysis of ebay because it's a hassle taking account of relistings and unsolds, but some of the cards are showing up sooner than others. The numbers of all of the props add up to 1600 but the number in packs should be 1200, so a full 25% are presumably still held by Artbox. We don't know if all of the 400 "extras" are concentrated in just a few of the props or they're spread out over the whole lot, and that can make a big difference in the market value if (say) 50 out of 100 are held out from packs versus 10 out of 100. Here's an early warning for seekers-on-ebay ... I was just informed that three auctions I won (and paid) for cards from this series were cancelled because somebody appeared to have hijacked the seller's account. It was for a seller in the Far East who had a lot of 3D inserts listed, so I expect there will be a scramble of rebids that could distort the bidding for a while.

Is that the dealer whose account has been tampered with. I got the same notice concerning a Karkaroff card I bid on. I checked all the cards I had won or purchased using BIN to see if I had the number, and couldn't find it. I had a feeling I should stay away from the Far Eastern dealers. I was concerned about the distance with mailing. I'm really glad I did now.

Well, according to eBay, all of the seller's recent auctions had been cancelled because it looked like the account had been tampered with. But the seller himself has a 100% feedback rating. He has recent positives from people who had quickly received cards from WOHP, and even those auctions had been cancelled by eBay too, even after the merchandise had been delivered. I haven't seen any more problems with Far Eastern sellers, or at least not in the card community. And the shipping charges were less than a European "with tracking" requirement. Possibly everything is A-OK, but I posted the message because this seller had a lot of auctions listed, and people who don't check the auctions they're bidding on every few hours might not have noticed.

thanks Sharon. i managed some good pulls on my cases of 3D. Hope i manage the same on the OOTP. Here is a scan of the lockhart costume card swatch. I was being curious to see how big the swatch was below the card, so i peeled the front off! It's bigger than i thought and i'm sure if you could bring yourself to do it to any other card you might be surprised at what you see beneath. But i can't!

You are one brave man to pull apart an insert, even if it is common! I've always wondered what the whole swatch would look like, especially for props like the Daily Prophet, potions book, and trial paperwork. I picked up a slightly variant Karkaroff costume. It's sort of the mirror image of the one terryweasley has.

I've always thought about doing that, it's nice to see that someone actually tried it

You are a brave one! Good for you! I think it's great! I have always wanted to do that as well--see if there's a variant somewhere under the card that I can't see! Love the Karkaroff costume card! Is it the same material as the Sirius costume card?

The Sirius and Karkaroff prison uniforms seem to have the same type of fabric.

Thanks! I wasn't entirely sure the swatch was dirty, since the seller told me in an email that he "guessed" it was some sort of stain. I'm glad I took the chance!

I haven't sent in my redemption yet, but customer service did not respond to emails sent last month by myself and another member here.
