It was odd wasn 't it? At one time chase was going to be "tuff" and the base set was going to be smaller than 72 cards. The sell sheet does say 72 base cards but I still think it's almost a case of 'wait and see' - this is a useful summary thread - thanks Cindy Cheesy

I know I read somewhere that there were going to be 54 base cards and various levels of chase cards.  I agree, it's definitely wait and see.  I still feel a bit burned by the COS set, when nearly half of the autos didn't materialize.  Maybe that's why we aren't getting a lot of info for this one. Roll Eyes  If it weren't for the Philly show, we'd know basically nothing about this set.

(**Edit #1**)

Aha!  I found a press release that was issued to dealers.  It states that there will be 9 puzzle cards, 6 chase cards and 3 ultra rare chase cards.

(**Edit #2**)

Artbox had rare and ultra rare foil chase cards for the 24 Season 4 set.  The 6 rare cards are numbered R1 to R6 and the 3 ultra rare cards are numbered UR1 to UR3.

I don't really like this idea of a tiered chase card system.  I'm just hoping it isn't to compensate for a lack of auto, prop, or costume cards in a box. I buy the boxes for those cards.

I looked through the 24 Season 4 box breakdowns on another site.  A box included two inserts (costume/prop/auto), 5 puzzle foils, 3 rare foils, 1 ultra rare foil, 2 base sets, and a box topper.  Just like with HP, an occasional box had a third insert.  The foil puzzles are PZ1-PZ10.

If Artbox does the same for its HP sets, I'll be happy. Smiley

I agree with kbmum. A lot of people got burned on COS and just don't want to commit before buying. Remember the phantom Julie Waters auto card. Wheres that gone? Thought it might turn up in this set like Artbox did with the GOF Unmemorable moments autograph stitch-up ( 4 unknown death-eaters and a bunch of late autos from previous sets). Also more recycled props and costume cards to boot. For the first time ever I am not buying a case of HP cards. I think Artbox have decided to suck the collector dry. I'll save a ton by going on eBay. The auto line-up at the moment is dire, bar Daniel Radcliffe, who no doubt will only be signing the rarest card by a good few miles. I probably sound a right miserable git but I only post nowadays when I smell a rat. Limited information at this late stage can mean only one thing - Run Away!!! Run to the hills...............

Yours disillusioned with the route Potter is taking, Steve ( actually normally a happy person ) Cheesy

I decided a long time ago that I would no longer buy boxes of cards for any Artbox Potter release. I see no reason why I should change my mind now either Roll Eyes

I'll join Steve and Jackie's "club" if I may Wink

The order deadline is currently April 16.  That's one week away, but we still don't have any decent, confirmed details about the inserts.

I didn't think Artbox could get any worse on their information releases, but they've proved me wrong!

Congratulations Artbox!! Grin Hopping Mad

(that's probably the only time you'll see me use "congratulations" and "Artbox" in the same sentence Roll Eyes)

there was supposed to be a promo for the philly show, but artbox sent it back as the design was not correct.  So if the promo was not correct, what about the set cards?? i can see this set getting delayed just like all the previous sets.

and why don't artbox employ someone to run their website?? it's a complete joke. ROFL! ROFL!
Have they not heard of promoting products.  How do they expect the collector to collect cards they don't know about???  and do they really expect dealers to buy the product just on the HP brand reputation with no samples or info??...........yes they probably do.

there seems to be more info on the OOTP set than 3d at the moment.  They should just put the 3d set off, and release it after OOTP but before OOTPU.

Honestly, when I see them at Comicon, I intend to ask the hard questions.  Why not hire someone, or get a college intern to run the website?  Why don't you release all info about inserts like Rittenhouse and others?  Why so many sets in so little time frame?  Etc, etc, etc....
I would really like to know.

I think we'd all like to know the answers to those questions! Wink  Out of all the problems there, the most frustrating is the lack of info prior to release, with the release timing an extremely close second.

I personally want to know (in addition to the other two questions - info & timing) WHAT is the reasoning behind so many sets of promos?  Why possible reason do they have for continually printing promos with different colored foil?

The manufacturing costs for the promos are less expensive than a costume card for the binder case incentives?

I wish Artbox would release some pictures. I would like to know what we are potentially buying. I'm sure dealers and distributors would as well:(
