Barty Crouch Sr. question

This has had me wondering for a while, but since I watched GOF last night again, I figured I would go ahead and ask someone.  What kind of accent does Barty Crouch Sr. have?  It's different from everyone elses and I can't place it.

He's a Londoner   Not a Dick Van Dyke cor blimey cockney but more sort of South East London.  Have you ever heard of Only Fools and Horses?  It is one of the most popular comedies ever in the UK and he was one of it's stars.  The difference you are hearing is probably because he is not 'posh' .  Most of the other accents are very middle to upper class but I would say he is more of a working class guy.

Roger Lloyd Pack is also the father of Emily Lloyd who had a huge hit "Wish You Were Here" in the late 80's.

Thanks!  I had never heard that one before.  When I think of working class I only think cockney.

Yeah, we get 'working class' people across the country and not just in the East End ... hence work gets done across the country but to be fair, the number of 'middle class' people in Britain is expanding rapidly.

...right - I'm just off for an elocution lesson.

Um..well I said working class to be nicer.  Around here I could call people that have a very distinct kind of southern accent "trailer trash", but I don't.    I didn't want to say low class either, because that sounds bad.  Working class at least sounds respectful. 
Eh....whatever. 
Political correctness was never my style anyway.

I was the one that started the working class talk  .  Actually since I don't know anyone who doesn't work for a living maybe that isn't the correct term.  When you listen to Hermione and Harry they have very standard English accents as opposed to Ron who I would consider has a working class accent - whoops there I go again.  But then again as someone who drops more H's than I've 'ad 'ot dinners it is not surprising most people sound posh to me
