I'd call that piping.  Almost all of the McG cards had it, but it didn't always show up in the scans.

I hadn't seen this post! Thanks  Kiss, I just pulled another McGonagall robe and it's almost identical to the one i had. Is her robe like that in the movie? I'd have thought it completely black/plain like Harry's or Draco's in POA.

This was my very first box of this set. I did buy the double costume card DC5 (brown/yellow) a while ago.

And now I pulled out that variant:

I also found that card:

I thought I would revive this section with a card I just bought, as well as a card I pulled at Comic-Con. Their variants, so I like them. Speaking of variants, Im looking to buy or trade for good Memorable Moments variants, especially a variant of the Cannons poster with a swatch of the Quidditch player(s). So if anyone has any that they are willing to part with, please let me know. Thanks!

I've never seen a variant for that card either...until now! WOW! It's really nice!  Cool

It even looks like a bit of a darker green on the left...is it a darker color or different material?

It is a darker green (or black) and a different material. I think it may be where the robe crosses over to the outside, because the green on the card is the inside of the robe, right? So I may have a little piece of both?

OMG! I think you are absolutely right!  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked I'll bet that's exactly what you have--a bit of both parts of the robe!  Shocked Shocked

That is huge! Congratulations! That is so incredibly awesome!  Cheesy Grin Wink Smiley

Ok, I finally have a good "Oh my gosh look what I found for cheap" story!!  a couple of time a year one of the malls in my area has an "antiques" show.  It's really a junk and stuff show, but sometimes a couple of sports card sellers show up.  I just happened to be at the mall yesterday, so I started looking at one guys football cards and I noticed some MM costumes and a DARK ARTS BOOK in his case.  I asked about the costumes and they were completely overpriced, then I asked about the DA book and it was the same price as the costumes!!  Which was a STEAL!!  So I bought it while acting all casual, but my heart was pounding!  I asked him where he got it and he said he didn't know, but he thinks his wife picked them up somewhere.  It's #26/98!!!!
The only think is, I never planned to collect the Dark Arts Book.  Roll Eyes  I'm tempted to keep it since it was such a cool find, but I'm willing to trade for any of my wants in Diagon Alley.  I'll try to post a scan later.  Grin
