I don't know if anyone knows this, but there are two incredible exclusives at the San Diego
Comic-con Convention going on right now.   There is a super RARE Exclusive Card Prop Card
that is not numbered, but comes with a certificate of Authencity that states it is one of
only 31 cards.  The prop is a piece of the Tri-wizard trophy plaque... All have lettering on
them.

The other exclusive is a Costume Card Set of 4.  The four costume cards are tie material
from all 4 houses.  They are limited to only 200 sets.

FYI, the 31 piece card is $199 and only 6 were available every day at the convention.   The
Costume Card set was $100 and limited to 30 or so a day.

I have extra's, but they will probably end up you know where...

I love all of these! I know there are a lot of burnt tent material props, but the fact that it is a BIG card makes it more appealing to me right now.

Crazy about the tie cards.  Does anyone have a pic of the Trophy Plaque Prop?

This is probably a stupid question, but does Artbox (and other manufacturers) always show or bring unique cards to their booth?

Picture of trophy card sent to you Bitsy...enjoy !!! Maureen
Now that "stupid question" well the answer is yes and no...most card manufactures normally just hand out promos in general and show off the current products and new line products coming..some do have 'show specials" so it's a hard answer to generalize..in the case of Artbox which I'm sure your interest lies...the real answer is "NOT REALLY TILL NOW"
at one SD Comic Con they had a special Azkaban Binder made that you could purchase at the show and also a special tin that had the Azkaban set in special stamped rainbow like foil...but nothing on this scale before
The only thing I'm a bit afraid of is that these cards or some of them showing up in MM or COS...this time numbered
as for the 8 x 10 jumbos..it's really not a new idea...Upper Deck started making numbered 8 x 10 cards way back in 1989
their product is great for this venue because now it really shows off the swatch

Thank you, Maureen!  Smiley PM sent!

That is interesting...wonder why Artbox is just now bringing out the show specials.  Interesting that Upper Deck did the 8x10 cards that long ago.  I would like to have one for my collection.

Well another deep question...but look at what was inside the special boxes.....first of all the new Goblet album I'm sure thet wouldn't of sold out all 500 of them, if sold separatley... put together some new and some old product, put them into a white box call them a mystery and there you go, over $37,000 in sales..great marketing to move older product. Some rare finds to be had in some of those boxes for sure, but also some costume and prop cards that can be had on Ebay for a song ........................

When doing a link like this, I think you should put a warning notice for an anti - drool shield to be put on monitors  ROFL!

Well, back from the con. I have so much Potter stuff crowding my room it is amazing.

I have:

6 Tie Sets
15 GOF Retail Boxes
15 POAU Retail Boxes
15 SDCC Exclusive Folders (each with the 8x10 prop card in it)
8 SDCC Exclusive Gold Border Poster Card Set
8 POAU Tins
7 GOF Tins
A Ton of Costume, prop, and autograph cards. I pulled some decent stuff out of the Mystery Boxes. A SLytherin GOFU Incentive card. 3 Dubledore Toyfair costume cards, 2 Slytherin Scarf Toyfair costume cards, 2 Rosmerta Autos, 1 POA Dumbledore Auto, a FULL GOFU Costume Set (my best pull) and much much more.

All will be going up onto ebay. If any shackers want a Tie set or any of the 8x10 prop cards and SDCC folders PM me and I will offer them to you at a lower price than what I am going to put them onto Ebay for.

If anyone has the G4 channel on thier cable tv, they are having a special show about Comic-Con today.  Check the program guide.  They may have another tomorrow, don't know if it's the same show or different.
