NEW SELLER,NEED ADVICE PRONTO!!

Morning all,

I need some advice im new to selling and have sold item,it now says on ebay that the payment is pending through paypal, what does this mean,im worried as the amount item sold for is not showing on my paypal account yet.
I have upgraded this morning to a premier account and im a uk seller and uk verified,do I have to mark payment as received on ebay before it shows on paypal,anything I need to do now for it to show on my account?

Just as im new i dont want to delay the buyer in recieving the item if its me thats done something wrong.

Please help really need the advice

It should have said in the payment notification that they haven't sent you a normal paypal payment but an e-cheque. The best thing to do is email the buyer and thank them for the payment and tell them that you will post the item as soon as it has cleared.

Ok I will check ebay again,have spoken to paypal who said my account is fine,they cant see the payment amount their end either,also they advised me to mail buyer to check email address they sent money to was correct,its all correct my end on both ebay and paypal,never thought selling would be this hard. If they pay by card should it show on paypal straight away?
I've had no paypal email either sayoing a payment has been made,but buyer has a shop so reckon all is well

If ebay shows the payment is pending at paypal, then that only means it hasn't shown up in your account yet.  Ebay owns paypal, so they're linked.  As Roz mentioned it might be an echeck (something like a bank check sent via email - so it takes a few days to clear to your account).  I'd personally check out the help information at both ebay AND paypal to verify everything...

Cheers everyone all sorted now ,they paid by card but must of been a small glitch somewhere and i resent a invoice and they paid all in my account my first sale
