15 sketches from my case:

Again, my apologies to those on dial up for the size.

Now to decide which one to keep.  I'm only letting myself have one.

My case...
Here's what I pulled.

Box 1 Gollum/Mike D (Duron?) & Arwen/Shum (numbered 324)
Box 2 Hobbit/Hodges & Aragorn/Rood
Box 3 Gilmli/Martinez
Box 4 Theoden/Booth & Witch King/Fabbri
Box 5 Treebeard/Benjamin? & Witch King/Frampton
Box 6 - Shelob?/Dalla Vecchia
Box 7 (be still my heart) - Elrond/Teranishi & Legolas/Kayanan
Box 8 - Sam/Parsons & Gandalf?/Woodside?

Needless to say, I'm VERY VERY pleased with getting a Kayanan, especially one I admired off the lotrsketchcards.com site. I'd actually JUST thought as I was breaking open the last pack "where's my Kayanan?" when there he was Cheesy

14 total sketches!

My reaction to my case - EXTREMELY pleased.  The Frampton is cool, Treebeard is nice - that pencil is REALLY faint though, the Theoden is very nice, surprisingly I LIKE the Gimli/Martinez, the Rood is a good outline, Kayanan *swoon* I kept looking and looking and looking and thinking "No Way!",

Going to try & trade the Fabbri, the Duron, the Dalla Vecchia, Teranishi, Parsons, & Woodside  - just want other characters by those artists

I've got a nibble on a trade for the Benjamin & might trade the Hodges - ditto, like the artists, just want something else.

Overall I was VERY surprised by my reaction to the sketches - I like photo realistic, but these are all growing on me.  The only one I had a negative reaction to is the Woodside & that's because of the character (I think Gandalf looks more like a lion in this sketch), even so I may end up not trading any at all.

Nice sketches everyone!
Ed:  I like the Mitchell Arwen, the Fabbri Gandalf, and I also like the one on the top left, but I don't know who the artist is.
Tialessa:  I actually like the sketch of Gollum the best (after the Kanyan of course).  I also think that the Martinez sketch is really good.  You probably got one of his best.

The Aragorn sketch is by Brian Rood as you rightly guessed! Wink
I think I'd be chasing the Teranishi, Rood and Kayanan sketches out of yours Tialessa ...

Out of Ed's selection I'd probably try for the Pronovost Treebeard and the Fabbri Gandalf - which just goes to show that I'm a 'traditionalist' at heart when it comes to art!! Roll Eyes Wink Grin

Sketch I pulled:

Sketch I bought at a very good BIN price IMHO.  Now I have one bad guy and one good guy.  I think they'll go nicely next to each other.

I love the Elf card (Legolas or Haldir?).  There is something about the white pencil on the cream background that just looks so classy  Smiley

I'm not much of a Haldir fan, so I'm going with Legolas.  Grin  I agree about the white, Sharon.  I was looking specifically for a sketch of a good guy in a pose looking right and with some kind of color.  Voila!

Here are my sketches so far there will be more coming later

Like I said in the other thread they look much nicer in person and I think if I would have seen the sketches on ebay I wouldn't have liked 3 of the 4 as much as I do seeing them up close.  I am actually pretty happy with these sketches.  Even the Gandalf is fairly simple in composition, but looks very nice seeing it in person.  Needless to say I like the Aragon one alot and if I pull a better one might part with it, but if not it's likely going in my collection Cool

Thanks!  I got very, very lucky.  And I have to say, the scans of your cards don't do them justice.  They are wonderful in person. Smiley

Those are some really nice cards you both got.  One of the things I've liked most about seeing all the sketches is how many different styles of Gollums there are.  If I had the cash I would collect one Gollum from every artist.  How cool would that be?  Shocked
