Rittenhouse has never done a full "update" set for a film.

However, both Star Trek Nemesis and James Bond Die Another Day both had "expansion sets" that contained an extension of the base set with new images that could not be used or were not available.   They also had extras in the way of costume cards or autographs that were not in the same set.  All expansion sets were the same, so you only had to buy one to 'complete' your set for the film.

I would not be surprised at all to see and expansion set for X3 and I guess that a full update edition with packs would not be out of the question if they could get enough quality inserts (autos, costumes, props) to include.

You'll note that the words above that list read :
Signers so far include

And even I'm not sure if this is the final, final list or not.
And Hugh Jackman is still the 6-case incentive last time I checked, but he's not on that list. I'll have to ask the webmaster why later on Smiley

Howdy all, just been reviewing this set again I had cancelled a 2 case order of this product upon finding out about the cancellation of the costumes. I have now just looked at the Sketch samples and am slightly impressed by the standard. But it has got me thinking are the sketch cards being done in normal Rittenhouse style or are they going for a more freerange attempt like in Evolution. The way they have just posted the artist name would suggest this to me. What does everyone else think ?
Great Sketches Again Cat I like the samples.  Grin

I know that they are going for the "realistic" sketches and did not pick up any artists who do more of the "comical" or animated looking sketches (I mean to offence to the many great artists here lol)

SO expect all the cards to be very photo realistic looking cards.

ROFL! can you imagine sets stamped 'freerange', and if they aren't stamped free range we'll assume they are 'battery' sketches Tongue

I think the question of whether there will be an expansion set ultimately depends on how well sales go for this set.

Those are great sketches as always!

I love the storm one (althought she is not my faviourite actress or charactor)

I have to say I would love to know what the odds will be on pulling a sketch card

Can't say just yet. Sketches are still being approved and the more that get approved, the more the artists can crank out, the more we'll be able to insert. We're as tense about this as anyone though, let me tell you. We generally like to have everything neat and in place well before the release date, but with this one it looks like we'll be going down to the wire, so to speak.

I do know that Sales and Production are working to get some tentative insertion ratios though. Sorry I can't be of more help!!

Looking good guys.

Have you seen the trailers for this?

http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/tls/

It's that Ian McKellen with his Shakesperian voice that's sending shivers down my spine as to how good this can be! Patrick Stewart did a similar job too, but just later in the trailer Tongue

C'mon Joanna, we need some GOSSIP. Grin
