Hi Just added up all the stated Sketch card numbers on the LOTR Sketches Website there were More than 15000  Shocked meaning when divided by 8 it means roughly 2000 cases of product if it is one per box. On the other hand does this mean we will have better insertion odds  Huh  Praying
I remember right at the start when the set was announced it was plugged as the lowest LOTR print run product from topps I am really struggling to see this now.
Any ways what do you guys think ?

I know they put 2 sketches in Batman animated, but this is LOTR not some obscure show.

"Low" print runs are not Topps' speciality. The rare and hard to find FOTR hobby boxes must have had an approximate print run of 27,000 boxes (based on the 10 autos in hobby boxes printed at 2500 a piece (Sir Ian McKellen confirms he did 2500 autos on his website) and giving John Rhys Davies 2000, although I think it may have been lower than that).

It's best not to ask how many ROTK and ROTKU boxes they made Wink

I don't think I ever heard that it was being plugged as 'the lowest print run for Topps' but 1800 cases really is seriously low by their standards. Revenge of the Sith had nearer 20,000 sketches (and therefore boxes) but can you find a sealed box of that these days? Not for any amount or love or money!

That is one heck of a lot of Sketch Cards!  Anyone know if Evolutions is still on schedule for release in March?

I konow when I first got the emails for this set last year from cards inc in about November they had mentioned the 'low' phrase but this was in their first solicitation email for the set. I can remember taking a big pinch of salt when I read it the first time.
I have now ordered 2 cases having seen the majority of the sketches looking pretty OK. Cards inc have now today informed me it is now sold out from them, another pinch of salt.  Cheesy
