What's songs of praise?  We have Narnia posters all over my church.  The church has a big block of tickets to one of next Sundays shows.  I might buy a few of them and take my 6 year old, but I think I'll see the movie this week first, to make sure it's not too scary.

It's a church service on BBC TV each week but they tend to mix it in with stories about famous or non-famous people and their religious lives or journeys. This one was about CS Lewis (erm... obviously )

I think it may be a fairly scary movie, but more child-oriented than LOTR I should think, but 6 is very young, I think it's definitely worth you going to a "test showing"

ya . i can't wait to see the film. nothing like reliving ones childhood through a movie.

I would think that because of the battle scenes and a few other scenes (i.e. the Stone Table) that anyone under 10 would be way too young to see it unless they've already read the book (had the book read to them) and been able to comprehend the violence/concepts..  It is rated PG in the US.

I read Jordan the book last week.  There really isn't a large battle scene in the book,  but I'm sure there's plenty in the movie.

Well, there IS a large battle at the end of the book, but it's glossed over in the book.  I suggest you watch a couple of the latest trailers - a glimpse of the battle scene is there and it's HUGE...
