The only item that appears to be missing is the sell sheet:

WOW! Shocked
That's a pretty impressive price!! Roll Eyes ROFL!
I've just looked through the rest of their Potter auctions and noticed they're all on the expensive side ...
Wonder who will tell them they need a sell sheet to truly call it a 'Master Set' and what about decent photos of all the prop cards?  Undecided

Way too expensive, it won't sell, if there isn't an idiot. Wink

I agree Tower, it is too expensive. Roll Eyes  The seller didn't even show pictures of all the prop cards (letters, chocolate frog, wizard candy).  Those pictures would make a big difference in the price the seller could ask for.

I think this would be a better deal, covers all the bases - maybe I'd upgrade two of the letter cards later on, but there's plenty of change left over compared to the one at the top of this thread Wink

That's definitely a much more reasonable price for a Master Set and you can see the swaches of the prop cards. Wink

It is odd that the seller didn't use more pictures.  I had a look at their other auctions and all the 'big' cards (coins, platform ticket etc) are for sale separately as well with pictures.

Heaven help me if I don't include fees and postage in an item so valuable. (Should I ever be so fortunate to have one for sale.)  Grin

I thought the same thing.  Besides, postal insurance protects both the seller and the buyer.  For $7,300, I'd be willing to pay for the postage and insurance. Roll Eyes

If I'd got that kind of money to spend on a master set then I'd be flying over to the US to collect it from him in person!! Shocked Grin

i'm looking to sell my SS master set to recoup some money for a family holiday.

just to gauge opinion from my fellow shackers, is anyone on here interested in purchasing it as a master set or would it be better to sell off individual cards?

i wouldn't be keen on the latter has having managed to put the set together i'd really like to keep it together.

it really is a master set - i can't think of anything i'm missing.
all 3 wizard coin cards are numbered #17/40, which is great to have all 3 the same.
Also will include the house tie set from the san-diego comic con.

i see one ebay store selling the 3 card set for $2,000, and Tomunique had one master set previously for $4,800 i think it was.
This set is one of the best for prop and costume cards.  and there are a lot of first time signers in the auto list who haven't signed again.

check out the pics below.

promos are there also, sell sheet and binder and empty box.

Hmm...difficult to say what one should do!  Undecided
I know Tom had a master set up BIN for quite some time...it didn't sell,
so he broke it down and sold everything individually.

When you say "3 card set", are you talking about the 3 coins on ebay right now?
If so, that too has been listed at that price for quite a while now!  Undecided
(When Tom sold his, the coins sold for about $400 (or so) each)

So...if you sell as a whole set...you may be sitting on it for a while...
depending on your price. BUT...there are a lot of new collectors, so
it may sell.

Double BUT...selling individually may be better because there are collectors
out there trying to piece together their existing sets...

he he..like myself!  Grin I see a few I need!!  Cool

So, like I said...tough decision!  Tongue

yeah, the 3 coin cards.  all different numbers as well.  and you're right in saying they have been up for a while.

so i'm not sure what to do.

i think i'll try as a master set to start with, put a BIN on and accept offers and then if thats a non seller, i'll list individually.  but before i do that, i'll check on the shack first to give guys and gals first dibs at them.

Wow, there are some really good cards there. I too need a few of those cards you have to offer. Im not sure if I would buy the master set (I just cant afford it), but if you do decide to sell individually, I would love to have the opportunity to buy some. Thanks for letting us know!

It's a color flyer that's used to help dealers sell a set.  Sometimes it has really good info and pictures of some of the inserts, other times there's basically no info at all. Roll Eyes

I've been trying to put together an OoTP "master" set and it's good to know what's needed to complete one.

Thanks.

Ha ha - don't start that again - arguments over whether incentive cards/unredeemed redemption cards/empty boxes/sealed boxes/empty packs are necessary to complete a master set have been rife on this forum. I think we all just decided to collect what we liked & made us smile, but you're right - it's nice to know 'what's out there' for each set. Hopefully the majority of it should be up for viewing in the price guide - but if not - just let us know Smiley
