Harry's Jacket

Ok, a few friends on mine are planning on buying/making Harry's navy jacket but they dont know if its a wind bracker or track jacket. I think its a track jacket. What do you guys think?

I've never heard of a wind breaker jacket so I go with the track jacket option (and where was this in the cards!)

I read somewhere that some of the muggle clothing they wore in the movie was acutally theirs or Warner Bros. didnt give it to them

Well if it was his own I can understand why we didn't get any in cards, I suspose. Although it might still have been costume.

I think you're right, Mike.  I think it's a track jacket also.  A wind breaker has nylon on the outside and it's "swishy" (that's what my kids say when clothes make that "swish" sound)

Yup, Dan is wearing a track suit top as we call them here in the UK!
It looks like one of the brand named ones too ... Nike, Umbro something like that I reckon.

Ok, I thought so because I have a Hogwarts one from Hottopic just like it but black and with the Hogwarts crest on the back and Hogwarts across the front

I am pretty sure you can get the same type of top in any of the cheap sports shops over here - Soccer Sport, J B Sports.  Could be the ones in the shops though are hoody types, not particularly PC here at the moment though

Yeah - I had a green one when I was at school (yep my school uniform was green) - it's a standard school uniform type thing - then there was a fashion for them (but those jackets came with 3 white stripes down the arm) - but they should be pretty easy to get hold of - if not in the US then you'll have to send one of us shopping in the UK

Talking of jackets, I got one in Asda today which is a bit like Hermione's (not intentionally). Can someone with the card tell me what material hers is made out of? Looks like kind of Jersey type to me, but mines velor.

I think it's thin sweatshirt material Dawn, very like the fine weave you see on T-shirt material too.

Yup it is, my mum bought it for me too I rather like Asda's clothes and prices.

I haven't the money as it is I am wondering where the heck the money for GOF will come from. I really wanted a case too  :'(

Know what you mean about the cases of GoF though - I want a LOT more info on the inserts before I do anything with this set.
I noticed hobbiesandsupplies were pre-selling boxes of GoF at $59 when I looked on their ebay store earlier on today. They said to email them if interested in cases and also shipping costs too.
I think they were quoting $23 Airmail shipping for a box, so I've no idea on how much a case will cost to send.

Tons I've tried selling stuff on ebay and it hardly covers one card  :'( Trying to get people to employ me too but that doesn't seem to be working either  Not only that but Dale Winton once again refused to read my numbers out

I wish Dale still did Supermarket Sweep! I know it was dead tacky, but considering the rest of the daytime dross that was on it shone like a beacon of good taste!

Keep looking Dawn - it's coming up to the seasonal work time of year and you might get lucky ... the Post Office sorting office is always a good one to try for and they'll be putting their ads in at the job Centre soon.
Or ... try at Asda!
Not the most thrilling work I know, but it pays for cards which is ALWAYS a good thing.
The other thing to remember is that it's easier to get another job if you're working already so if you could get temporary work over Christmas it might get that all-important experience you need to get permanent employment.

We have had adverts for the sorting office, trouble was they want you to start at 5am and I tell you I wouldn't care where anything was going at that hour

I have sent of 12 letters to shops at my local mall. I have been applying for jobs through the proper channels but the letters seem to have better luck and I have got a sort of interview thing coming up in a week I have tons of experience from various places and still no one wants me
