I bought a Ravenclaw robe last week from a seller named sweetsomethings313.  I have to say that it's just terrific!  If you're thinking about buying one for Halloween or whatever, definitely buy from her.  It's made of heavy material, not that cheap nylon stuff, it has a great patch and a built in wand sleeve.  But ladies, if you are well endowed up top let her know.  Mine fits great, but I don't really fill it out upstairs.  :'(  The colors are the nice darker ones from the GOF movie.  A big A+ to this gal!  Grin

Could you post a link to her auctions?

Thanks!

OOOOO they look lovely robes!! Grin
I tried to use the international postage thingie on their listing but it told me ~
"Unable to calculate shipping costs since the weight of the items is too high. Please contact the seller to determine the shipping price" ... so I take it from that, the cost of sending it will probably be more than the cost of the robe!! Shocked
Pity too as they look very nicely made and of good quality material - Kelly seemed VERY pleased with the one she bought at any rate! Wink

She says in the descritpion that she has Slytherin and Gryffindor ones too.  You know, I really like the robes for this movie.

I wonder how expensive they would be to ship to the UK?
From what Kelly said, the robes were made from a heavyweight material which in turn would push the price up! :'(
I noticed the Gryffindor and Slytherin robes were available on request too - just remember to tell her if you're *cough* well-endowed up top or not ... don't want to look silly with robes too tight across the chest now do we!?  Wink ROFL!

Great robe

I have a guestion for all robes:

Do the movie robes have a strip of house color fabric down the side and colar like this or is the whole thing a hous color?

The women I wanted to get one from makes robes with the whole robe lined

Don't quite know, but mine is lined in dark blue inside the hood and a strip down the sides.
Sharon has the right link.  Smiley
I checked the postage on the box and it said it weighed 2 lbs 11 oz.  Which suprised me because it feels heavier.  Maybe shipping overseas wouldn't be so bad after all.

I bet the shipping would amount to more than the cost of the robe to send it to the UK Kelly - 2lbs 11oz is quite a weight and will be very expensive if it's sent Airmail I'm sure. Undecided
*sighs* :'(

I'll be quite honest Anna and say that's better than I thought it would be! Cheesy
Mind you, added to the cost of the robe the total makes me flinch but in it's favour the robe does look special! Grin
I'd have to say it's a real luxury item for us here in the UK because of the postal costs and I'm quite happy to admire it from a distance, thanks! LOL Wink

The lining in the movie is only in the sleeves hood and down the sides.  There are few pictures I found that were promotional pictures of Hermione and you can clearly see the lining in the back is black.   About the shipping  I just found that if you use flat rate global priority mail envelope you can get it in 4-6 days for $9.00.
