It will be very interesting to see how Dan manages to step out of Harry's shoes and take on a dramatic role very different to the boy wizard... though he'll have experience playing an orpahn, I guess..

I think its great Dan is stepping out of Harrys shoes. We can finally see how good he is in other films for his future in the movie busniess. I personally probably wont see the movie, it might not be release here but if it is Monica will kill me if we dont rent it and see it

Late last night I received word about Dan possibly starring in an Australian production entitled December Boys. This morning I received a confirmation from Dan's representative that he has signed on for this role.

According to Variety, December Boys is a coming-of-age drama, set to film on the South Australian coast in November, and is adapted from Michael Noonan's novel of the same name.

Radcliffe will play the oldest of four orphans competing for the affections of a childless couple keen to adopt a son. Late '60s-set drama unfolds at an isolated beach resort, where Dan's 16-year-old character also has his first love affair.

As reported in the Herald Sun, the producer of the film, Richard Becker, says, "Daniel is an actor with talent and intelligence beyond his years. He can step into any role and deliver a brilliant performance. We are thrilled that Daniel has chosen it as his next starring vehicle and are eager to commence production."

I live in South Australia!  Wonder if I may get to meet Dan.

Sounds good good on him as long as he's not worn out for the next potter lol. But can I ask a stupid question, isn't 16 a bit old to be getting adopted?

 Ha hee I am sure he will do just fine. He acted before HP you know - he didn't audition - THEY came to him he'd even acted with Maggie Smith and Dawn French before... and I think John Hurt also - so he was already pals with the "in crowd"

Thats one thing not fun about living in America. No one really cool comes here to make a movie. Sarah Jessica Parker had to cancel some shutting in Florida because of Tropical Storm Arlene but I dont like her. I dont think many british actors make movies here anyway

Ok here's the scoop. Found out they will be filming at kangaroo island and a place called Second Valley from the 16th of November. My Dad knows someone who has a holiday shack down at second valley so we're looking to rent it out for a few weeks during November. Also my Dad's friend says their friends who own a shack down at second valley have been apparently approached about renting it out to the film crew for a certain amount of time as it is a very modern housing place.
so if I can find out the specific dates they want to rent the shack I can work my trip around that and hopefully meet Dan.

If I met Dan I dont even know what I would say...and anything i did want to say would probably just come out as jibberish. 
But Im thinking of getting my copy of the HBP signed or Goblet of Fire to coincide with the movie. I dont know something cool as you said Roz. 
Ooh or maybe my harry Potter wand box from the Noble Collection?

I read that Dan is getting his HBP the same time as the rest of us, isn't that cool. Must be strange for him though 'what do they want me to do next'. Thats if he does HBP I hope so after all we are nearly there now. Maybe it depends what it contains
