The Yak Shack is moving to (hopefully) a more reliable server!

There will be some time where you are without your favourite forum, as the servers will not know where to point your computer to, however each server, one by one will start to notice the new location and point you to it! So if you ring a friend and they can get on the Shack and you can't, please don't panic, it's only a short term thing!

Aye I did hear this rumour  when is this all going to happen? tomorrow? next week? I need to prepare myself for the loss and panic that will consume me 

Also, how long do you think it will take to for our computers to notice the new location, I hope not for more than one minute  I cant be without the shack for long

Yes we can hit 10 Gig a day bandwidth on this one without any service interuption, it was a lot of money up-front but I think it will pay off for us if the service is better

And so far the customer service folk have been excellent!

Anyway, I think this could well be happening in the next few HOURS!!!

Anyone needing a red pill (to keep awake and realise the full horror of the net without the shack) should PM me straight away, anyone needing a blue pill (to render them unconcious for the next 24 hours, thus leaving them in a state of bliss, never finding out what life is like without the companionship of fellow shackers) should also PM me!

If you PM people daily or several times a day and need their email addresses for whilst we are down, then you should check out their profile and get their addys asap.

Sorry for the short notice but hopefully the transfer should be short and sweet and take only a few hours

There's a chocolate store near Boston that specializes in handmade confections.  I could live there.   One of the items on display is a three or four-foot long replica of the USS Constitution (a 207-year-old ship), made in dark, milk and white chocolate.  Even the rigging is made of chocolate.  Oooooh, the meal I could make with that!
