I was just there, and I want one, but how do we find out the shipping cost for it? They have a flat rate shipping charge of $8.00 in the continental US. I placed an order for 60 of them yesterday  so this shipping cost is a bargain for me since normally I would pay around $20 for shipping of this many screw-down cases. I wonder if it would be easier to wait and see if anyone has them at the card show I am going to in August.
You may want to do that, but as far as I know, Pro-Mold is so far the only manufacturer of a screw-down case of this thickness.  |

$8 is not worth it if I just want to buy 1. There is a dealer at the card shows that carries pro - mold items. I guess I can hope he has one.

It isn't worth it to only buy 1 case. If the dealer at the show carries Pro-Mold items, it would be considerably cheaper to get it from him. You may want to call him in advance to see if he'll have them at the show. |

It won't be long before the new screwdowns show up on eBay. You might be able to get one with less expensive shipping than what it would cost to get it directly from Pro-Mold.

There will be a sports card show a few miles away from me on the 30th of June. It's a 3 day show, so I'll check to see if anyone has the new super thick screwdowns. I'm going on the first day of the show, so I'll report back with the price and see if any Yak Shackers want one right away. It's free, so I can go back if need be. It's just down the road a bit.  |

I have some bad news to report about the screw-downs case for the super thick cards. I just received my shipment this afternoon and all of the cards will fit in Pro-Mold’s new PC17 cases except Fluffy’s Fur, the Devil’s Snare and the Wand cards. The case is still too small for these cards. :'( The only alternatives that I could find for these 3 cards are a 10-card Snap Box by Pro-Mold PC10 or a 10-count 2-piece Slider Box from Ultra-Pro. Here’s a sample of how big the PC-17 case is compared to a 50 pt case:  EDIT: I forgot to mention that the PC-17 case thickness is 2 1/2 times thicker than a 50 pt case (about 5/8" thick). |

I've already tried the 10 card snap box pc-10 by Pro-Mold. It's still too small for Fuffy's fur. It looks about 2 card thicknesses short of fitting. Anyone know about the Ultra-Pro 2pc. slider box?

Yeah, the hinged boxes will work. I tried the 10ct. snap box which I think is also called a mini-snap. It has 2 seperate pieces, no hinge. |

I just put my fluffy fur in a 25 count mini-snap box (no hinge) by Pro-mold. The box is a bit large, but it looks better than a team bag. They were about .60 cents.
ArwenEvenstar: The Pro-molds are easy for me to get at the local card store. I bought some 120pt screwdowns for $1.29 each. Don't know about other sizes, but they would be fairly close to that price. I can also get something called Ultra-Pro one touch. They have a magnetic closure instead of the screw which is nice if you don't want to hunt for a screwdriver to get your cards out. I bought a couple of 130pt for $2.25 each. They are perfect for Wand Box, Practice broom, etc. I'm not sure what the PC6II is, so I won't be able to help with that. IM me if you want me to check about them.

Does anyone else think that a lot of the cards are unnecessarily thick? The more I get the more I think this. Some of the cards I can see why they made them so thick but with others you can look sideways at the card and see the swatch did not require such a thick card. Any thoughts?
