Making its way around the web is some news shaking up the Potter community. Heres what one site had to say:

This is London is reporting that "a betting website has been inundated with bets on the death of [a character in the book] - all from the town where the book is being printed," causing betters to think that a copy of the manuscript of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has leaked, despite the extremely high security at the printing plants.
Ed Pownall, of the internet betting site Blue Square told The Sun: "We have taken nearly £6,000 worth of bets on [the character] in the past seven days. All have been played in Bungay [a printing town] or nearby Beccles. A lot of punters have opened new accounts and placed a maximum bet of £50 each on what is an obscure market. That made us sit up and take note."

And Warren Lush of Ladbrokes said: "We weren't foolish enough to take the bets. There are obviously people out there who have read the manuscripts."
The complete article can be read here(http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/articles/18829632?source=Evening%20Standard#). Although it's always possible that a copy of the manuscript has leaked, take this report with a grain of salt, as it seems to have originated from The Sun (a British tabloid newspaper).

So if one did leak, that means someone is dying.

The fact that someone will die in the book isn't something new.  JK herself said that more people would die before the series ends.  As it says at the end of OOTP, the war has begun.

OK I just read who it was.

Althohg it told me, it may not be true, and it does not say how.
The same with Sirius in the 5th book happened. It was all over the news and internet, but it did not say HOW.

It was on the car radio as I was driving home from work tonight and they blurted out the name of the character that all the bets are being placed on before I could switch it off. I am not happy that they said who it was, true or not  Hopping Mad

I want to know but much rather find out in the book. If it was somebody I like then I'll be ok with it if I read it because I know why and how.

They aren't 100% sure, there was a glut of bets for someone else dieing not long ago. Although if I did have to bet I am affraid it would be the name that has been about today, not that I want it to happen I just think it will

I want to know but much rather find out in the book.

I found out about the death in OOTP a few days before the book was released and it really ruined it for me.  I'd rather find out while I'm reading.

I for one don't like the idea of anyone dying. But,  Hey, this is a fictional work. I can only think of one "git" (Thanks, Roz, for clearing up "Git" for me.) that really , really deserves to have their comeupance (Is that a word?) I don't know who JKR has terminated but I know who, of all of the characters so far, is an ambitious, traitorous, condescending suckup.
(*Everyone is saying, "Why don't you tell us how you really feel." *)
I'll say no more. And Remember, it's only fiction. In real life, I'd give the person a pass.
