Never underestimate me!

Ok here is the background!

On my auctions I state "Payment must be made within 5 days" One eBayer bought 10 Items from me, about a week to 10 days later I still didn't have any reply from the buyer!

So I filled in the Final Value Fee form to get my Final Value Fee back from eBay, days later I got a e-mail from the buyer saying -

I can't solve my problems with my account that's why I haven't paid yet and It si very probalbly that I will not be able to pay you. I think it si not my problem I am trying to solve it but for now i can't pay but please remove your strike against me... Sorry

What should I do, I know the eBay fee's are £5 and when you sell alot on eBay thats quite abit! I should be able to get my fee's back tomorrow, but should I claim them? As I run the risk of getting negitive feedback from the buyer (As they might leave it to get back at me) and I have 100% feedback and don't really want to spoil that!

Please help! (Someone, Anyone)  Grin

I think you have to claim your fees and keep the strike against the buyer.  He or she had no business bidding on 10 auctions without having a PayPal account in place (if that is the account to which the buyer was referring).

You could send the person another email, explaining that you have to follow eBay procedures for getting back your listing and final value fees.  The buyer can then try to deal with eBay directly about any impact on his or her eBay account.

The person might leave negative feedback.  My account also has 100 percent positive feedback and I wouldn't want something like this to impact it.  But really, what can he/she say?  That he couldn't pay for the auctions and he's angry that you filed a complaint against him.  You'll also be able to leave a rebuttal for any negative feedback, and you can leave the buyer feedback as well.

Did anyone else bid on the auctions?  You might want to do second chance offers so you don't have to list them again.

Yes, thats what I thought. The other odd thing was they asked for an invoice for the total amount and shipping after they won them and then no contact after that.

So im thinking they didn't like the shipping price to the USA and just backed out!

No, as they where all BIN so the buyer also new they would have to pay within 5 days of BIN!

If you filed for 10 seperate non-paying bidder fee refunds then the buyer will get kicked off eBay anyway.  I think 3 is the max before suspension.  Don't leave neg just yet.  You may not have to worry about it.

None of us like to pay international shipping prices, but that has to be taken into account when bidding.

You might want to consider setting up buyer requirements, such as no bidders with less than a certain amount of feedback.  If you're doing BINs, you could also require immediate payment with PayPal, so that the auction doesn't end until payment is made.  Of course, then you can't combine shipping on multiple items. Undecided

Thanks for that, but I was told that if I file all 10 it will still only count as 1 strike as it is from the same eBayer. As thats how feedback works!

I have a requirement of no less then -1 feedback, and I have never had any problem with 0 eBayers except this one!

I might be tempted to let things slide if a buyer had a problem with one auction.  But 10?  That's ridiculous.  This person has created a big headache for you.  You have to file for your fees for each auction and relist everything, never mind that you don't have the money you expected when you expected it.  I'd be furious, and the buyer is an idiot to expect that you wouldn't take action.

Like Kelly said, you can wait to leave feedback, but definitely go through with getting back your fees and leaving a strike against the buyer.

I e-mailed the buyer and explained that im going to get my FVF back,

I wouldnt of minded waiting for payment, if he said that he is having trouble before he bid and that it might take them more then 5 days to pay. But they didn't

When I was selling some HP Update Cards one bidder won 2 cards and it took him nearly 1 month to pay, but that didn't bother me as he asked if it would be ok to bid and pay when he gets his account sorted, and we kept in contact with me and answering all my e-mail. & I didnt mind that!

But when they dont bother replying to my e-mails or anything. Then why should I do anything for them!
