According to Non-Sports Update (which I know is not the MOST reliable) there WILL be a Chamber of Secrets set, however, Artbox has not said any kind of release date. My guess is it will come out NEXT year at the same time SS came out this year. GOF will be coming out late oct/nov.
We should see COS next spring, assuming that Artbox doesn't produce a GOF update. |

As to Updates ... the initial reason that companies started publishing update sets (or Series 2, with earlier Topps SW cards and sometimes their widevision versions from a movie) is that the movie-makers wouldn't release some of the best shots for printing before the movie was released.
Then they also found that there was a perfect tie-in to when the movies were released on DVD, which perked up the audience again.
Sure, you can push a franchise to its limits and keep making cards until everybody is sick of them. But those first "marketing" pushers above don't apply to TSS. I wouldn't be surprised to see a GOF Update at DVD time, though.

That's a great point Jeff... so its unlikely we'll see a SS or CoS update set, but depending on when the GoF movie and DVD is released relative to the GoF set, we may or or may not see a GoF update set... Fingers crossed for no update! |

If we'd see a update of SS we might see it in November, an update of COs in 2007 because if there is a release update for GOF it will be May for the release of the DVD
