Well I just had to relieve Mo of this pathetic excuse of a variant card........  Also purchased this nice dirty variant along with a case of cards (the case pulls were terrible)  |

hey folks - just purchased these off of eBay and thought I'd share. Not terribly rare but I love them I do beg to differ (but then I always was contrary - it's odd that my mother didn't call me Mary), but don't forget that due to the sheer number of PoAU cases produced the Marauders Map card was tough to find (I think I pulled 1 in 6 cases and it was a dead dull one to boot - I bought a variant in the end ). That's a fab bit - well done. Also - you can't go wrong with a Fred and George dual - awesome |

Thanks Roz. I didn't realize they produced so much of the POAU. Always thought that POA and POAU were short printed but goes to show what I know I really like the map and the Fred/George dual. The dual is a bit more affordable than the POA individual autos for George & Fred. 1 in 6 cases is rough but I sure you pulled some other very nice cards |

PoA was short printed as there was a tremendous demand for it (500 cases were made).
PoAU was crazily overproduced - something like 2700 cases (although I think Artbox said 1500 but the numbers just didn't stack up). Just look at the numbered filmcards - aren't they out of 900 or so? Astonishing!
No, I really didn't pull anything to write home about - with PoA pulling a Marauders Map was an achievement. I didn't get a Dan/Ron/Hermione auto...

That's right. There were nine filmcards, each with a print run of 900, for a total of 8,100 filmcards. Cases were supposed to have three filmcards. Artbox held back a certain number of each card and some cases didn't have three filmcards, so I'd guess there were around 2,500 cases. |
